Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
Four days ago I remarked to a co-worker that it was lucky I hadn't been stung by a bee, wasp, hornet, or yellow jacket in at least 20 years because I tend to have allergic reactions to being stung. I may have "jinxed " myself because yesterday I was stung by a wasp on my eyebrow, and ended up in the emergency room four 4 hours with severe swelling of my entire head and neck, hives, itching and redness from the waist up, and difficulty breathing. My condition was easily treated with oxygen and an allergic reaction cocktail of drugs, and I am fine; just the right side of my face is swollen now.

Now to my point: most conspiracy theorists I talk to, and blogs I read suggest that there is no such thing as coincidence when it comes to TPTB, NWO, etc. Does our reality include the ability to "progam" future events by talking about them, or merely focusing on them? Should we all be more careful about what we pay attention to, and what comes out of our mouths? Or is it just a random coincidence that this minor event messed up my family's holiday?

Re: Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
look of course we believe in coincidence somtimes.
But sometimes we believe in a theory.
Now the worst thing to be is a conincidence theorist. These type of people beleive that every crazy event from 9/11 to planes dropping out of the sky to moon landings to global warming to chemtrails to ufos all being just a coincidence.
These are the blind. Blind leading the blind.

Program or predict? Where you being warned with in your own thoughts by a power you have yet to discover?

"Should we be more careful?" Look around & pay attention, you will be able to answer that question for yourself.

"random coincidence" Is just intellectual laziness IMO.

I wasn't wishing for it, believe me. I don't like hospitals at all. Statistically, I'm sure I was overdue to be stung, but it was just so odd that I had mentioned it earlier in the week; this is not the sort of thing I talk about regularly.

This link may describe the concept I'm thinking of better than I can. I'm bouncing the idea of attention versus coincidence around my head.

You don't have to want it, just focusing your attention is as good as wishing for it, this is why we all have that inbuilt anxiety about laughing at anothers misfortune, it's kind of karmatic, sometimes we wish for black but get white, the universe at the core level is both either or, they're completely interchangeable and in essence the same thing.

So, the short version is that coincidence is a sign from God? I'm completely unclear on the TToD stuff, but am reading the links you provided.

Unfortunately, you caused it to happen by saying it. You should have 'knocked on wood' literally - as soon as you said it. It cancels out anything you say (and thereby 'put out there') that you don't want to happen.

that's really amazing !

by a remarkable coincidence ,Four days ago I remarked to a co-worker that it was lucky I hadn't been stung by a bee, wasp, hornet, or yellow jacket in at least 20 years

'n then, when i asked around - it turned out that almost all my co-workers had remarked to co-workers the exact
same thing 4 days ago

further enquiries revealed that 1000's of hospital workers had remarked to each other ( yep, 4 days ago)
that it had been 20 years since 1000's of workers had been
admitted with sting-allergies

of course - it's just a coincidence - there's nothing sinister about it

Re: Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
Your event could have been pure coincidence or it could have been programming or "BRIDGING" the future/outcome. Heck, sometimes I thing both are even connected and "WE" make the choice and may not realize that had we turned left or had we turned right could completely change our lives or refocus our direction or even make us redefine our own thinking.

It is possible that we are in a constant battle of programming vs. coincidence. I like that...day/night...ying/yang...pre-destiny vs. chaos. :-)

Re: Do conspiracy theorists believe in coincidence?
There are some real conspiracies, but I also think sometimes conspiracy theorists get bored and invent new conspiracies.

Also I find it highly likely that once trained in "conspiracy thinking", conspiracy theorists tend to see all and everything through a conspiracy-tinted reality filter. Which is ridiculous, because world events never are "just conspiracies", just like they never are "just coincidences".

It's always a mix of both because we live in a complex world, which is too much to bear for some simple-minded people. SOME conspiracy folk can be very simplistic.

There is no coincidence. More than likely, you worried that wasp straight to you. Did you use the "j" word when you said thatto your co-worker? Many people believe that just uttering that word will indeed do what the word means. I never ever say that word.

Re: your bee story, DUDE. Didn't it ever occur to YOU that YOU may be prescient? In other words, how in the F could THAT happen by coincidence? Your bee sting, I mean?

Everything is possible. We have been programmed to believe it isn't in the same way that you can get a deer to believe it can't jump a low fence by hanging a string across up higher.

Yes, consipracy and coincidence co-exist. You sound like you don't think that's possible.

Dude, you are a prisoner of your own mind. Hopefully that bee sting woke you up a bit.

And one more thing. We ALL have the capacity to be prescient. People have been programmed to be afraid of that and view it is negative. THat's only because if everyone relaxed enough to be able to use it, all the crooks around would be caught very shortly. We'd all be able to see through all the deception. But they have us trained like deers. We're "contained" in an imaginary pen, with a flimsy little piece of string holding us in. We could get out any time we want, but we're afraid to because of the fear conditioning they hold us with too.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to investigate the idea of "knocking on wood" further, which I suspect may work because we focus our attention on negating whatever we just focused our attention on; likewise not using the work "jinx". Good ideas, and more food for thought. Thanks!

what - you don't know if real conspiracies are more interesting than people who get bored easily ?

.
 Quoting: pt 587237

There always have been conspiracies at all times, some minor, some big. Now, applying your logic, nobody would have talked about anything else than conspiracies since the beginning of human consciousness - because through all that time it would have remained the most interesting subject around. Now I don't know about you, but I like a variety of topics, not only conspiracies.

Besides, this discussion wasn't my point. I was just pointing out that some conspiracy theorists get bored by the real conspiracies and then they invent new ones. Also, some of them are in the business of making money by supplying the "conspiracy folk" with new stories to ponder. Alex Jones, Jeff Rense, pick your poison.
