"Screw your penalty and interest. You'll receive exactly the amount I originally owed you, and nothing more (see enclosed). Your days of sponging off us poor folk - while your rich buddies get bailouts - are numbered. The whole lot of you scumbags need a healthy dose of some of OUR reality."

they will just come and take it out of your checking account and they dont even have to tell you.......they took 2k outta my brothers account once for penalties and threw him completely in overdrafts since they did not bother to tell him.....
so um good luck with that |

I dunno I had a medical bill that kept coming last year until right around the time of the bailouts I told them I'm unemployed, to eat shit, and you can't get blood from a stone.
I haven't see a single bill from them since.
Oh yeah I also asked them where is my bailout? |

yea I actually skip some deductions I "could" take just to avoid potential audits over them...
If they do ever audit me they'll end up owing ME money..

My audit ended up being a load of horse shit. They had nothing on me.
It was a nightmare from hell, all for nothing!

Maybe the agent who is processing your payment will write off the penalties and interest on your account. (Then again, maybe they'll just apply your payment to the penalties and interest...) Good luck with that one, OP. |

reminds me of a phone call i had with the irs last time i was back in the states...
i am sure there is a red flag next to my name now.

Oh come on now... listen to the fear from some of you is an eye opener. Look, send in a 1040 form with the signature "under duress" or better yet don't sign it.
Why would you sign (agree to) something you don't understand?
Can you imagine if millions of filers did that?

i'll expand on my story a bit becuase it may also apply to the whole point about signing "under duress"...
this is many years ago, prob. around 1999. i was traveling in europe for more than a year, and an irs agent had tried to track me down since i hadn't filed. he left messages and letters with my mother, because it was the only address where he could find anything about me (even though I had never lived at that address, or with my mother since leaving for college in the late 80's). long story short, i called them back (stupid me), and argued with the agent for about 15 minutes.
i told him that i didn't not file a return because i made less than the amount that required you to file. i forgot how much exactly it was. he said that i needed to have a mailing address and i told him that i didn't have one. i told him that i had been backpacking through europe and didn't have an address. he told me this was not an acceptable answer, and that everyone needs to have an address. we went back and forth about this, each time i told him that i didn't not have any address. he got pissed off and hung up on me.
haven't heard anything since, but i haven't been back to the states that often either.
