There is little to interpret when legislation is viewed from a legal perspective. It is written by lawyers, ffs. The bill is written with specifics, or it is not...which is it?

On a cop show the other day, they were trying people, in the court who had participated in a gang death, as "terrorists".
At the time, I thought that would be a way to clean up the dangerous portions of cities where people were afraid to go out at night because of "gangs".
When police know the names of the gangs and the territories of these gangs, I see no reason why we can not treat them as "terrorist" and get them off the streets to allow regular people the safety of their own neighborhoods.
However, it's going too far to label gun owners (who follow the law by properly obtaining any permit required in their city) as terrorists. They are not breaking any laws and only hurt robbers that break into their homes.

Like it or not that in the last 20 or so years the majority of domestic terrorism in the U.S. has been by right-wing domestic extremists who have:
- Blown up buildings (Oklahoma)
- Assasinated doctors
- Killed liberals (that church shooting)
- Killed democrat leaders
Of course not everyone on the political right is a terrorist, and am not not saying that every conservative is a terrorist, but the past few years have shown that a very small minority of right-wing extremists are a threat.

The first thing to understand is that its not "the government" and not the democrats and not the republicans. Since they killed Kennedy because he was going to tell you who they really were, lets just call them Zarnubians. They hate earthlings because we firebombed their planet eons ago and destroyed their dreams. Lets say we took some captive and brought them back to earth. Lets say they escaped from captivity and they underwent plastic surgery to be indistinguishable from other humans. Lets say they have secret blackmail files on all government employees - really bad stuff - the kind of stuff that if it was revealed would throw the entire country into chaos and rioting. The kind of stuff that even a Supreme Court Justice would agree should not be revealed under any circumstances lest the people hang every government employee from the nearest tree. Lets say thats why they are allowed to fly over our heads in saucers abducting whomever they fancy.
Now lets say they ran drugs and rackettering schemes and penetrated aerospace and defense firms and government offices and using the largesse have built a massive attack fleet on Mars and the Moon using advanced weapons whose designs were provided by a ESP from their home planet. They would like to exterminate all earthlings but using the advanced weapons could cause damage to the environment so through absolute and complete control of the uS government they are trying to do it covertly. They will not stop regardless of what we do. If their agenda is blocked then the offworld fleet will begin a scenario like the movie Independence Day without Jeff Goldblum.
That is essence is what you are facing at this point. IMHO.
