In my case I was raised to be very spiritual. To respect all other humans, animals and all of mother earth. In time as I got older I really understood what that really meant. It was something that was instilled in me from when I was a small child. I am now passing that on to my own son. Being only 4 he has a great understanding of respect to all...including the earth. Actually its very touching to see him connect the way he does to nature and animals..... |

The cherokee's were at one with nature; they lived in harmony with it. What do we do? We fucking destroy it all for MONEY. |

Know there very earthly but wat about the rest John Keel says in some of his books that the majority of UFO percipients are either Indian or part-Indian. The next major ethnic group to see such things are Irish. the reason? Culture, surely, and probably something blameable upon genetics, but which I'd say was a gift from God. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 686919 United States 07/05/2009 05:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | look at it like this OP, The majority of native american indians were only split from their ancestors way of life around 2-300 years ago most easterners go back thouasnads of years and then look at many tribes that are still living they are some of the most spiritual groups of peopl you will ever meet. most people cannot comprehend what the mind of a natural human being is like and how you function. Imagine no buildings no stores no people no cars no tv anywhere on this planet. You would feel almost naked and very vulnerable. Now imaigne it the other way around. You are the native walking into this commercialized blind walking robot filled world where you see nothing left of the eden taht you once knew. no animals no plants nothing you knew to be the only thing keeping you alive and encouraging the circle of life. |
Segali User ID: 638578 United States 07/05/2009 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | More like, why is our culture void of spirituality? "Slaves who imagine they are free cannot be liberated." -Vernon Howard "When one begins to equate their outer experience to the things previously seen in their mind as a mere coincidence, one is set on the path to realizing that the reality seen by the 5 senses is in actuality the material manifestation of what occurs within the human mind and heart." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 718928 United States 07/05/2009 06:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think it may be because they are closer to nature. Human beings can't live close to nature for a long time without developing some sense of the spiritual in and around nature. Close to nature...close to God...and close to God makes humanity spiritual. |
