At worst it wouldn't work. At best you would have a chance at connecting with any possible working radio transmission. I guess I would want to have a working car in order to get to my family. If not, I certainly would adapt. I do hope that we don't have to go through this. |

I was forced to read up on EMP and the faraday cage several weeks back thanks to GLP. Basically very fine (heavy guage wire) metallic mesh (smaller the holes the better) surrounding but not touching the vehicle (think giant rabbit cage) with a hefty ground wire run to re-bar pounded into the ground will theoretically protect your vehicle's brain from the pulse. Whether or not this would work for CME's I couldn't tell you. |

Folks think about this.... with 5 hours warning you should be able to walk out of any fallout or disaster situation with what ever you can carry on your back. And, if you cant you will more than likely die one way or another. If the zone is larger than this --most will not want to be around anywho. fyi Duck tape is really your friend and the same folk that make Gorilla Glue make a Gorilla Tape too.
