Why do I get a sinking feeling that when Obama is done with us, we will be so pissed (like we were with Bush Jr.) we will be desperate to take Palin?
In some kind of sick and twisted Christian Jyhad we will try to take back any part of America that remains intact in 2012.
It's like planned psychological extremism inducement! Like what happened when Obama was treated as a messiah for a time. At each swing of the pendulum we are more furious to rush to the other side. |

Is it becoming clear why McCain introduced the world to Palin now?
They are planning such an Obama backlash in 2012 it will make Bush followers seem timid.
We could be launched into a full-fledged militant Christian theocracy with the blessings of American athiests by the time 2012 comes around!
It might come as a last desperate throe from a nation on its death bed. |

If Obama keeps up the disaster we are headed for...he WILL be blamed for the WHOLE THING....and that will allow the LARGEST LANDSLIDE IN HISTORY towards the already rising star...PALIN.
I'm calling it now....PALIN will be our president in 2012. It's been planned out already. There is no other reason McCain would have done what he did in picking her. She was being prepped for this. Her "mavericky" style is a contrivance or convenient personality pitch they knew they could use.
Many already like the fact that the media seems to HATE her.
We love to hate the stupid talking heads lately.
Can you think of any personality who LOST the VP slot and maintained such a media spotlight?
I've been to Republican meetings as a result of being a Ron Paul supporter, and believe me, Palin has already achieved cult status. |

been doing my normal nightly doom fix here on glp. I have read every post that somehow enticed me to "pull the covers back on the bed to see exactly what the slightly moving hump was underneath the covers." I have theoretically polled the covers back on many threads tonight and some repetively.
However, this is the first hump underneath the covers that inspired me to add my twisted, doomtardedness self to respond.
OP, you hit the frickin nail on the head like a 10 lb. sledge hitting small nail driving through paper.

If a vote were held RIGHT now, just between Obama and Palin, there is NO QUESTION I'd vote for Sarah Palin.
She is FOR America, Obama hates everything we have ever stood for, he HATES that we're a superpower ( what he wants is to have tea and stately dinners with other European countries as an "equal" ).
Obama is on record as stating that the U.S. Constitution is a FLAWED document.
He said the Warren Supreme Court didn't go FAR ENOUGH toward redistributing welath.

I lived in Alaska most of my life and alot of it in Wasilla. My family is Republican. I am Independent.
All I can tell you is if Sarah Palin is elected or selected as POTUS in 2012, we, as a nation, are truly screwed.
It's not because she's a 'maverick' or a 'Christian' or whatever goody-two-shoer-you want to label her, it's that this woman is truly a nutjob. But she sounds good. She looks good (compared to Hillary, Sarah is outrageous eye candy to be sure). She says what neo-cons want to hear. Old men adore her and don't need their Viagra anymore anytime she's getting air time. Every hetro male wants to do the dirty with her.
But unless you know the political environment, the social environment and yes, the IQ level (educational background)of an average Alaskan, of which she is at what? 83 on the IQ level, you will have NO idea what Sarah is really about. How do I explain this? Firsthand knowledge? Yes.
Even I still like the idea of drilling in the untapped oil reserves, along with rejecting the federal stimulus package because it would put Alaskans into debt for generations. Many Alaskans feel the same way but I guarantee you if she had finished her term as governor and ran for re-election in 2010, she wouldn't win. She's managed to tick us off that bad in only 2 1/2 years. Of course, we loved her at first - 80% approval rating.
The problem is she is made of Teflon - she believes her own publicity, accepts no opposing views whatsoever, apologizes for no wrong she has committed. She is not a deep thinker whatsoever. But she's cute and bubbly - Miss Cheerleader, Miss Wasilla. To many Americans, that's all that matters. Who the hell wants another ugly bitch like Hillary?
To put Sarah Palin on the world's stage as President of the United States would make George W. Bush look like a genius and Obama like an idiot.
If the TPTB put her in, the movie "Idiocracy" will become reality. Just when I thought we would barely survive W., then Obama (another stooge), just wait for Sarah. Holy shit, so to speak. |
