A Sacred Place (graphics intensive)
Quote

Praise be to God and all that is for making places like this. The power is so unfiltered, so pure, and so untapped. You can feel it everywhere, permeating everything and your own self. :) Enjoy the pictures, I hope you can tap into this power as well, it is limitless.

It was just the start of spring up here (nearly 12000 feet, or whatever treeline is here), so there was lots of mountain runoff. The top lake was fed, which drained down into another lake, on and on.. and there were many waterfalls between the ponds.

Atop the ridge in the truck on the way back home. The sandy colored speck in the middle of the picture is the area where we camp below in the valley. I have shared pictures of it before, perhaps one of you may have already seen. Here is a shot at the mountain from below, the previous picture was taken atop the ridge just slightly to the left of James Peak, which is the mountain in the foreground:

Thank you for looking :)

Colorado. Montana is equally as beautiful.

To the guy above, my dog is a malamute.

Breathtaking, and I've never used that word before.
I've no doubt there is a creator in this world. I
could lie down there and die, and be happy.

Is your Avatar one of the dogs?

Love all of it.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your words. :) and no, my avatar is a coyote, my dog is a malamute.

I agree with you about being happy there. I never feel home like when in the mountains.

LOL! That is one of my friends actually. I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. Sort of a weird facial expression he has on.

I would definitely spend time in Colorado than being
on line. We spent 2 weeks camping in those mountains
25 years ago. I haven't gotten a chance to go back,
but I'm wanting to relocate to the area. I would love
to wake up every morning to a view like that!

There are definitely scars here by human intervention, but they are so small and insignificant compared to the sheer mass of this mountain and the beauty that surrounds it. One day the earth will return to this state, as will I, and as will you. No more scars. :)
