Re: Can anyone else make their whole body unbearably tingle at will?
Yes. But not voluntarily. Sometimes, esp. when I've been praying a lot, various parts of my body will vibrate with a fine, rapid vibration. once I actually heard a humming sound. Sometimes, various spots along my spine will heat up almost unbearably, esp what corresponds to the heart and solar plexus.

I got scared bcs it was so hot I thought this might be what spontaneous combustion is.

I am also a former traveler in the new age. Now a Christian.

haha nice one i am glad thats been cleared up, i always say look on the internet there has always been someone who has seen it before, or had that problem lol. But it feels like round here like everyone is just hoping that they have a destiny or a reson for being dont ya think its all a bit depressing really :(

Yes! But I didn't have to join an occult.

I especially love it down my spine.

It's your energy/power field . You're allowing energy/light to enter into your body via your chakras and it actually starts gyrating and activating your DNA.

It's an awesome feeling. I highly recommend it.

Yes, when I meditate and pull up energy from the center of the earth.

I can't do it at will, though it happens if someone touches me or something I own. It's weird.

Re: Can anyone else make their whole body unbearably tingle at will?
Sorry for the long post but there is some really interesting research on the human energy field...

It is real.

The theories about human energy...

Field Theory
This marked the first time science recognized that electricity might exist as waves capable of traveling over distances. Before this discovery, only static electricity was recognized and described.

In the early 1800's, Michael Faraday and James Clerk Maxwell proposed a new type of physical electromagnetic phenomena that could not be described by Newtonian physics. This lead to the concept of a field, which was described as a condition in space that has the potential of producing a force.

Each charge creates a disturbance or a condition around it, so that the other charge, if present, feels the force. Thus their Field Theory; the concept of a universe filled with fields that create forces that interact with one another.

Relativistic Theory
In 1905, Albert Einstein shattered the Newtonian world view . Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity says that space and time form a fourth dimensional continuum, "space-time." Also, his theory holds that time is relative; not linear, and not absolute.

Two observers will order events differently in time if they are moving at different velocities in relation to the observed events
. All measurements of time and space lose their absolute significance. Both now become elements to help describe a phenomenon.

It is time to stop dismissing all experience which is outside our old Newtonian way of thinking. We must broaden our framework of reality. Other cultures have already done so. Native American culture did not use clocks. They divided time into the Now, and All Other Time.

The Aborigines of Australia also have two kinds of time: the Passing Time and the Great Time. The Great Time has sequence, but cannot be dated. Like them, we need to stop using the absolute parameters.

Quantum Theory
In 1920, physicists asked nature a question, and nature answered with a paradox.
Physicists somehow knew that paradox is part of the intrinsic nature of the subatomic world. So they set up an experiment which proves that light is a particle. A small change in the experiment then proved that light is a wave. We thus moved into a universe based on the concept of both/and; rather than the old idea of either/or.

At the turn of the twentieth century, Max Planck discovered that the energy of heat radiation is not emitted continuously, but in "energy packets", called quanta. These light quanta are accepted as being particles. A particle is an energy packet.

On the subatomic level, matter in nature is mutable. On this subatomic level, matter does not exist absolutely. Rather it shows tendencies to exist.

Physicists found that particles can simultaneously be both waves and particles. In effect, they are saying there is really no such thing as a thing. What they used to call things, are really events or paths that might become events.

The universe is thus defined as a world of wave-like patterns of interconnectedness, a dynamic web of inseparable energy patterns, a dynamic, inseparable whole that always includes the observer. We are not separated parts from the whole. We are the whole.

Holographic Theory
The works of Pribram and Bohm combine to theorize that ,"Our brains mathematically construct 'concrete' reality by interpreting frequencies from another dimension, a realm of meaningful, patterned primary reality that transcends time and space. The brain is a hologram, interpreting a holographic universe." (The Holographic Paradigm, by Ken Wilber 1982)

In his book, "The Implicate Order," Dr. David Bohm says that primary physical laws cannot be discovered by a science that attempts to break the world into parts. He writes of what he calls an "implicate enfolded order" which exists in an unmanifested state, and is the foundation on which all manifest reality rests. This manifest reality is "the explicate unfolded order."

Dr. Bohm suggests that the holographic view of the universe is the beginning point of understanding the implicate enfolded and the explicate unfolded orders. The hologram concept holds that every piece, however small, is an exact representation of the whole, and can be used to reconstruct the whole.
In 1971, Dennis Gabor received the Nobel Peace Prize for constructing the first hologram. It was a lens-less photograph in which a wave field of light scattered by an object was recorded as an interference pattern on a plate. He placed a laser beam -- coherent light -- on the hologram or photograph recording, and the original wave pattern was regenerated in a three dimensional image. Dr. Karl Pribram, during the course of ten years, showed that the human brain's deep structure is holographic. The brain structures hearing, sight, smell, and taste holographically. He demonstrated this by the sophisticated analysis of temporal and spatial frequencies. Pribram states that the net result of the activities of the brain transcends time and space.

Karl Pribram's studies encompass the full spectrum of human consciousness. He proposes that the brain may depend on interactions at the junctions of the synapses or junctions between cells via a network of fine fibers on the axon branches. Nerve impulses manifest in slow waves. Information in the brain may be distributed as a hologram. This work can have profound effects on our scientific attitudes and our personal lives.

Wilber says, "For several years, those interested in human consciousness have been speaking wistfully of the 'emerging paradigm", an integral theory that would catch all the wonderful wildlife of science and spirit. Here, at last , is a theory that marries biology to physics in an open system: the paradoxical borderless paradigm that our schizophrenic science has been crying for. It is appropriate that this radical, satisfying paradigm has emerged from Pribram, a brain researcher-neurosurgeon who was a friend of the Western Zen teacher Alan Watts, and Bohm, a theoretical physicist, and the close friend of Krishnamurti and former associate of Einstein." (from "The Holographic Paradigm", by Ken Wilber 1982)

Superluminal Theory
In 1964, J.S.Bell published Bell's Theorem, which mathematically supports the concept that subatomic particles are connected in some way that transcends time and space. Anything that happens to one particle affects all other particles. This effect is immediate or superluminal. Einstein said that nothing travels faster than the speed of light. However, Bell's superluminal theorem is supported by experimentation. With Bell, we are now going beyond Einstein and beyond the wave/particle theory. As we learn how this instantaneous connectedness works, we might learn to be consciously aware of our instantaneous connection to one another and to the universe.

Robert Sheldrake, in his theory of morphogenetic fields, proposes that all systems are regulated not only by known energy and material factors, but also by invisible organizing fields. Whenever one member of a species learns a new behavior, the causative field for that species is changed. If that new behavior is repeated long enough, its "morphic resonance" affects the entire species. Lyall Watson described this phenomenon in his description of the Hundredth Monkey Principle. Dr. David Bohm states that the same thing is true of quantum physics. One subatomic particle affects all subatomic particles

Jack Sarfatti says that the way superluminal connectedness exists is through a higher plane of reality. By reaching to a higher plane, we may be able to understand how instantaneous connectedness works. Safratti used these concepts to put forth his theory of multi-dimensional reality.

Experimental Proof

There are many experiments, especially in the last ten years in China, utilizing the special skills and powers of accomplished masters of various types of qigong (or qigung or chi gong, all pronounced chee gong ). The Qi is the vital energy of the body, while gong means the skill of moving this Qi and working with it. Practitioners use mind control to move and control the Qi in order not only to improve health and longevity, but to enhance awareness, psychic powers, and spiritual development.

Have been able to channel energy (chi or Qi) on the breath, ever since a total light experience in the brow center (third eye) many years ago.

Focus on the breath as it enters the tip of the nose. Feel the chi energy as it flows through the upper sinuses and into the brow center. This inner focus on the breath energy electrifies the cilia in the brain ventricles. This excites the entire nervous system with waves of energy via the cerebrospinal fluid.

I read a lot...mostly about how the brain and body work in relation to the consciousness connection...the energy is real, and science is finding new ways to "measure" it and document that it's there....

YOU KNOW this already but sometimes validating what we know to be true is needed before we can fully move on to the next concept.

I have been able to do that as long as I remember. I can do it at will and it starts in my middle and intensifies from the waist down. From the waist up it is not as intense and after just a few seconds it is unbearable and I have to stop. Very strange!

Re: Can anyone else make their whole body unbearably tingle at will?
As long as I can remember, I have been able to do this. I can do it the point of not being able to stand it.

I was involved in the occult for years before I became a Christian, and know the typical new age responses. I have been there, many times. In fact I forget that I can do it and just saw something that reminded me so I decided to post it here.

What I want to know is:

That if anyone else can do it?
What are the physical reason behind it.
What are your experiences with it?

Again, it is something that I can do and feel that is totally physical. I can also isolate it to one area or another.

Discuss...

Yep, Gradient, old friend...I can do it too. This is your kung fu Christian buddy here, and that's where it came from. I think everyone CAN do it if they are "aware" of how the body works with the mind and spirit...mumbo jumbo mumbo jumbo - you know what I'm saying dude. You're fearfully and wonderfully made and He gets all the glory.

I think it's electrical charges in your body, controlled at will, once you learn how, and guided by your heart/spirit/intent. It's cool. Pray for people. I don't want to go too deep into it here, brother - but I'm sure you get my meaning.

Which buddy are you?

I think you may be on to something with the intent that you mentioned. It seems that attitude (spirit) can affect it.

Gradient, we've spoken on here before. I practiced Kung Fu with Sijo Larry Sanders - black sash martial artist, it's been a while since we spoke.

Sold out Christian. Sort of left portions of some things behind in my life as a result. It has a way of reframing everything.

Anyhoo, if you align your will with His will, you might find you can be a channel of the HS for healing, compassion, transforming mercy.

No telling where it goes really. Just keep your focus right. Stay humble.

Okay...from what I gather after reading it over is...

A lot of people are saying music... is a catalyst to enable this...tingle...interesting

I'm still trying to find the other stuff...I'm interested to know who experiences this with fear connected to it...I personally don't but I'm trying to understand something.

Anyone?

Re: Can anyone else make their whole body unbearably tingle at will?
I HAVE VERY SENSITIVE FOREARM HAIR

WHEN SOMETHING DEEPLY POWERFUL IS PLAYED OR SUNG MUSICALLY, THERE ARE CERTAIN SONGS THAT MY ARM HAIR WILL LIFT UP

IF ITS REALLY PROFOUND, I MIGHT GET GOOSEFLESH ON MY LEGS AS THE SHAVED HAIR IS MISSING AND 'CAN'T LIFT ITSELF'

A COUPLE TIMES DURING SOME ESPECIALLY AMAZING MEDIEVAL 4 PART VOCAL CHANTING/MARDIGALS, THE SKIN ON MY SCALP HAD MY HAIR LIFT ON MY HEAD AND THE SENSATION FELT LIKE SOMEONE POURING HONEY OR SYRUP ONTO MY HAIR AND THEN SLIDING DOWN
MY FACE, SHOULDERS, BACK AND ENTIRE BODY.

IF MUSIC DOES THIS TO ME, THEN I *KNOW* THAT IT WAS DIVINELY CHANNELED FROM THE MUSES. OTHERWISE ITS "JUNK"

SORRY, MADRIGALS.

AND I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT. ITS RANDOM AND I REACT ONLY TO THOSE SONGS THAT RESONATE WITH THAT KIND OF ETHEREAL PURITY OF THE ARTIST, INTERPRETATING THEM HONESTLY.

IF ITS REAL, MY "BODY" SEEMS TO KNOW IT AND THE HAIR IS LIKE ANTENNAE, IT JUST STANDS UP IN AN OVATION. CHILLING.

TAKES A MINUTE FOR THE HAIR TO SET BACK DOWN TOO.

NOTHING I CAN DO, HAVE TO RIDE IT OUT

Re: Can anyone else make their whole body unbearably tingle at will?
This is also know as brain illumination, that uses your 7 chakara points and can be used for many things. If you already know good if you did not know, now you know.

Also if you did not know, There is different types of vibrations. Slow deep breathing without stop periods during inhale from nose to exhale from mouth makes the vibrations grow faster and stronger to unbearable states. Steady slow breathing(not deep) without out stop periods during inhale from nose to exhale from mouth makes a steady vibration that can continue without growing stronger.

But you should not try to inhale from mouth to exhale from nose. It feels like stinging on my limbs and my chest is squishing inside out so I would not try this. If you do this and feel know pain then ok...

P.S. becareful about the foods you eat, your blood pressure, alcohol and your smoking(lungs may tear little if you smoke and try this breathing excersise)... Just to let you know...

Again P.S. I do not eat meat and so far nothing happened to me with the breathing vibrations/tingles yet, if anyone is wondering.

Re: Can anyone else make their whole body unbearably tingle at will?
great thread OP I can make this happen but very weakly...definitely self induced though...

I have had weird nerve effects all my life the most strange being a massive shockwave sensation which starts at the top of my head and rushes down my body. When I was young the shockwave would sometimes travel back up from my toes and seem to exit back out the top of my head.

Now I am old and ancient it seems to be concentrating in my upper body and can be "violent" enough to jerk me upright from laying down, it only ever happens while I am falling asleep.

In the past 5 years I have developed some kind of neuro condition where both biceps and some lesser upper arm muscles have wasted and are no longer usable. I have seen several neurologists and mentioned the shockwave effect to them to see if a similar effect has even been mentioned to them...they are clueless lol in so many ways :)

I was fascinated to find I can also produce the effect described above and wonder if it can be "practised" to develop it to the power of my near sleep shockwaves...going to be interesting to find out...
