Halee, or Hailey
Quote

Last year I bought my wife a Yorkie. We named it Halee in honor of my home town Hailey Idaho.

Well six months later my ex-wifes daughter in law had a baby girl and named her Halee, yep in honor of where grand ma grew up.

Neither of us knew this fo-pah, until now. We are getting together to celebrate my Daughters wedding. She is the daughter of my ex and myself.

Somehow my ex found out I have a dog with the same name as her grand-daughter. She is doing a hissy fit, saying I need to change the name of my dog.

Sometimes Karma is a bitch, but sometimes Karma is funny as hell.

No chance I am changing my doggies name.

So should I tell my ex to pee up a tree?

My dog is named Melody. Hubby's best friend's sister's name is also Melody but what's really funny and she's unaware of is she is named AFTER her mom's friend's HORSE. Her mom and bro laughed when hubby mentioned our dog's name though she was named that due to her mellow disposition, it still led to some laughs.

or another idea... just to mess with her head..

You should ask her in all seriousness... Why her D-inlaw would name a child after a DOG?? Act all shocked at the oddity of doing that.. Put it right back on her.. Accuse her of KNOWING your dogs name was Halee, and her forcing her D-inlaw to name the child after your dog because she just can't get over you... etc etc... LOL

Re: Halee, or HaileyQuote

Maybe Bailey, since the dog has been called Hailey all this time it would just get confused by a new name.

I'd say go with something along the same lines.. something very similar....

My sister adopted a dog that was named Baby by the previous owner. She hated it and we came up with Bailey. Similar and the dog still responded. =)
