From what she say,we can gather that gray-human hibridation has succeded, is a done thing now.

Humans are now part of the new race, she say that offspring of her came to visit in secret, and he was much more human than them (the grey) , same skin similar phsicial features of humans, except the eyes which where still very big like the greys but green not black.

I wonder if this is one of the reasons, 2 years left, do they still need us?... just speculation, but once they have succeded to make a new hibrid race that is able to self reproduce, do they plan to come and reclaim also some space on the planet for them.
