While I do indeed have doubts about such information because of the possibility of disinformation, I would hope that this is true in some form.

But the possibilities are very interesting to examine:

Perhaps this has already happened. Perhaps it does happen and something goes wrong (ie: the film Independence Day). Perhaps it is not aliens but actually Angels from On High.

I say at this point that this is good information to keep in mind but not to take it as literal.
