I think this is a good thing actually. At least now when these "anonymous" posters make their little snide remarks we can respond without having to put the time of day on there. They should have an identifying mark.Neti,this really does not apply to you because you usually sign off "neti". However,some do not use nicknames they just hide behind their anonymous titles.

There are a lot of anonymous posters who bring a lot of good to GLP.They have a right to post here but I think ya´ll are making a big deal out of a number. I don´t see what the big whoop is.To me, it just makes it easier to respond to their remarks if there is some "identification" than it is too keep it to where you have to type the time that they posted.

If someone is so bent on making nasty comments and not having to answer for them, they can still type something new into the username box at every post.

Those of us who want to have a conversation without having to log in, or claim a previous post with "I´m the OP" or "that was me at 12:54" AND are, at the same time, too lazy and/or brain-dead to think of something to put in the username box, can do so.

It has the added bonus of possibly getting some tiresome people to cease the attacks on ALL AC´s for the actions of a few.

We have been discussing the ´additional 6 digit-tag´ issue today, on a thread started by Trinity himself, which he ended up deleting without a single warning while the discussion was still moving along..

Maybe he is tired of the issue for now..

No more need for screennames, the 6 digit tag will suffice..
