I believe in God but OP has made some good points.
The people that wrote the Bible are just men. No one religion has it right. God will remain a mystery to mankind.
I think the Bible prophesies are being used right now as a play book by TPTB. They are the ones that are causing events to happen that appear to be prophesies coming true for their own ends.
