Personally, 3 - 4 months is good for me. Six is a bit too long, but again, this all depends on the amount and quality of time spent together.

If the guy won't stick around that long, big deal. There will be another one along in a few minutes anyway. Once I accepted that little tibit, dating became a breeze.
