Water-main break closes portion of Raleigh street

Raleigh, N.C. — A water-main break on the 400 block of Lake Boone Trail, near Edenburgh Road, in Raleigh caused portions of the road to be shut down through most of Tuesday.

The break was reported at about 6:15 p.m. Monday.

The water was quickly shut off so work on repairing the break could begin.

Utility crews worked to repair the break until about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. However, portions of the road remained closed until around 5 p.m. so the roadway could be repaved.

Portions of the road will be re-closed for most of Friday for more repaving.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area if possible.
