U.S. Unemployment By State (with worst counties)

this is what we get when we let our manufactureing base go over seas all i can say is buy american

relax, the jobless recovery is underway, so all those unemployed will soon have ample government assistance.

I live in Michigan and about 28 miles from Baraga. They have many metal fabrication shops that had contracts with Terrex and Pettibone equipment makers. Both or those companies are closed with Terrex planning on moving out of the country.

i figured it had to be a yooper county, the numbers around here in southern michigan are not any better though.

Not any better in Oscoda county either.

You'll notice if you goto the link and draw a map for your state the worst county is usually not far above a few others, escpecially in the states that are worse off.

Now I bet that all of those unemployed assholes wouldn't have pissed their money away shopping when they did have some money....Scroo-m!

A "normal" unemployment rate is somewhere around 4%, which nearly every single state has risen above while most doubled and at least 10 damn near tripled.

This county had been pretty stable but the gov't cut a missile defense program, so Boeing laid off 130 people here today.

Ah ha the great state of Deseret aka the beehive state remains relatively busy.

talking to some world war vets and they said when they came back, almost every company had signs out looking for help, for years. everyone had a job

Everyone had a job??? Only because they fired all of the women who had been working the assembly lines and sent them back to their kitchens. Freed up lots of jobs for the returning men.

Ummmmm... I think you may be thinking of WWII, the flu hit at the end of WWI. The only high profile assembly line in North America in WWI was Ford.

just wait till these people run out of money...and move in with family...and start having to live by their wits...when they have been separated from the Earth 90% of their lives...

Thank the gods, we have more life memories of being self sufficient than we have of being dependent upon "technology".

all you need is to tap into them...pitty the city dweller with their pedigreed dogs that poop on the patio. Chances are the soil in your back yard has never been planted and is still full of nutrients...get your heirloom seeds now...while you still have money....sell the grass, and plant a garden...a big one, so you can barter or trade food for stuff

green houses are fairly cheap if you shop around...and that gives you food year around. I don't know about you, but that is a very comforting though in this household of seven.

man will never be totally self-sufficient, but he will have to be a lot more friendlier if he is going to get any deals from his neighbors. don't take your guns to town boyz.

so find something to do besides sit around pretending it will get better...while you ALLOW it to get worse...we ain't hit bottom yet.
