Art Deco User ID: 473495 United States 07/19/2009 02:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NTSC (never twice same colour).. is what the Americans use.. so when converted to our PAL (perfection at last) standard.. one sees a different colour. I was converting an NTSC colour signal years ago.. to find blue's becoming reds.. & vice versa. The American video colour system is complete shit..! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 659714Very well said! Yeah, NTSC is crap, but, it was what we were stuck with. It was a lousy way to make the conversion from B&W to color, without changing the entire broadcasting system back then. It should be interesting once you have to start converting all the different formats of HD to PAL...or SECAM, for that matter. (BTW, does SECAM still exist? Haven't seen it in years) In ten years we'll look back on this moment, laugh nervously, and quickly change the subject. |
