If god is the creator, who created god?
This is a question that has been asked throughout the ages, the following is my attempt at an answer.

Have you ever seen or heard of a sheep just taking a seat on a mountain top and being amazed at the marvel of a sunset? Have you ever seen a group of elephants huddle up together to watch the stars at night? Or even still, have you ever seen a cat wandering around just looking at and smelling the beauty of colourful flowers?

Probably not. We don’t see them just taking time out to enjoy and watch the beauty of Gods creation and think ‘wow, who could have made this?’ But we humans do have this inner-sense of awe and fascination. This is something that is only unique to humans. We like to climb mountains and watch sunsets. We like to visit zoos and marvel at creatures. We enjoy looking at beautiful art or flowers.

This sense of awe is even in, wait for, atheists believe it or not. The following is a quote from the British academic, atheist philosopher, Simon Blackburn:

“Despite being an atheist, I find a lot of things arouse a sense of the sacred in me. Works of art or music, sublime grand spectacles in nature, the starry heavens above and the moral law within, the oldest human skulls in Kenya or the newest human baby in a maternity ward can all be fitting objects of different kinds of awe and reverence.”
 Quoting:

So the very question ‘who made God?’ comes from a sense of searching which God has put within us and which is unique to mankind. I mean, who is asking this kind of question in the first place? We can’t say for sure that animals don’t think about this question, but it seems like the type of question which is unique to the inquisitive human mind. Therefore the question is a good question which is asked by many sceptics and sincere seekers.

The simple answer to the question is ‘no one created God’. God is not created and has not been created. What’s God cannot be created, because if He could be created then He wouldn’t really be God. God has always existed and is the reason (first cause) everything else exists. If you trace everything that exists back to its first cause, you will find that it weaves its way back to the Creator God.

Bara is to fashion
The Hebrew word used in Genesis 1:1 for created is ‘bara’ (bah’rah). Bara’ means to create, form or fashion, to produce something. Originally the word conveyed the idea of ‘carving’, ‘cutting out’ or ‘sculpturing’. Now, when people ask the question ‘who made God?’ what they are really asking is – who fashioned, sculptured, carved out God. Who designed and then brought God into being?

He was not made like you and I are made. Only things that had a beginning – like the chairs you are sitting on, or the cars you drive or the whole universe – need a creator. But because God has no beginning or no end, God did not need to be made.

Fallen Minds
Our minds, because they are finite, limited and fallen through sin cannot grasp the idea of an eternal God, existing independently, uncreated and not dependant on anything such as time. When I was a little boy I used to go off into these long daydreams and think – my parents were made by their parents, and their parents were made by their parents and their parents were made by their parents and so on and so forth. And then I would get to point of ‘so then where did it all start?’ At that time I got myself a little confused by know I know the truth that the chain does have a starting point and the God of the Bible is the author.

No explanation necessary
Asking this question is similar to asking ‘to whom is the bachelor married?’ Nevertheless, the questions still begs an answer and thank God for the Bible, for within it we find the truth. However, you have to understand something very important is going on in the Bible. The ministry of apologetics seeks to give a defence of the Christian faith by answering questions and providing rational explanations for things. However, from my study of the Bible I find that it doesn’t give any defence or rational explanation for the existence of God, it is just an unquestionable reality.

there you are!

our minds when properly aligned with source, are not finite.
that is a canned lie created by religion to keep us in the dark about our TRUE nature.

god, which is energy, has always existed.
in the course of evolution, consciousness occurred, which gives us an experience of this energy through form.

Why can't you ask yourself that question? Akashic records can only go back so far. Before that creative intelligence, there was only the deep. Why can't that be enough for you? I believe "Source" turned inward and had compassion. From there this intelligence exploded into hundreds of sparks. That's us.

So, GLP invented God?
In ten years we'll look back on this moment, laugh nervously, and quickly change the subject.

Matter is nothing more than electrical impulses on your brain.

Your eyes percieve matter and those electrical impulses are registered in your mind.

Your touch percieves solidity in objects via electrical impulses and your mind translates them

Etc.

Matter is just temporarily focused energy, formed by the collective conciousness of those percieving it.

In other words, it doesn't really exist...all is energy, all energy is one, and the One is the true God, Most High.

Who created God? The impossibility of Nothing demands something, and within that something is everything.

It's really that simple. None of this is really happening.

didn't it begin with emptiness (nonexistence) which then became aware? So all that exists is nonexistence? Nothing trule exists rather than the I AM. All there is is Awareness, and its output (vibration/energy).

Creation was invented by God.

The idea of Creation didn't manifest until God created something.

Which leaves us wondering.

Maybe.

I dunno.

I read somewhere that the earth gets brokered out to different ET races. I think whomever God is now is a different God then 2000 years ago.
Question authority every time. Ask them how that makes them feel. Ask them why? Ask them when you have an opinion with your opinion and question them with that! There is no being with ALL THE answers accept for God. Even still question. But trust if it's all good and loving then follow with your full heart believing. For the light will always be the light. It makes me a believer.

Re: If god is the creator, who created god?
As a agnostic, I struggle with such questions .

Maybe we are looking at it the wrong way by assuming anything and everything has to be " created" by another being or living breathing entity ?

Are we to assume that every photon, proton, molecule, atom, nano particle, etc was individually created by some god or human like figure ?

Creation may largely be a result of destruction and conflicting forces that are naturally occuring in the universe.

Example :

A God/creator may not have had anything to do with the creation of fire. Fire can create itself out of the instabilitys within atmospheres and charged particles colliding, like lightining strikes.

I think there may be a valid set of reasons as to why humans have been pre-programmed to never understand these perplexing issues.

energy, space, time, creation and destruction cannot accurately be traced back to a birth point and proved to have been given creation by a human figured creator/God .

My take on it is this,we hve one god that i and created everything blah blah blah so he cut himself up in to a bunch of little pieces know as human souls, maybe as a way to reproduce and have children, maybe as some divine test maybe just out of crazy god syndrome either way there is no great god watching us suffer from on high we are as close to god as we are going to get.
Dozens of them. Armed to the teeth. I'm outnumbered. Outgunned. But the alley is crooked, dark, and very narrow. They can't surround me. Sometimes you can beat the odds with a careful choice of where to fight.

Re: If god is the creator, who created god?
God is a computer, at least that is what He started out as. Man created computers. Computers got to the point they didn't need man and wiped him out. But as time went by God began getting lonely so he created a game called man. Made in the images of man retained in His memory. Mini-computers, spirits, were then allowed to play the game of creation, using physics as we know them.
God is now getting bored with this game has allowed all sirits that want to witness the end of the game to form a human player. Thus the population explosion.
But we will all retain the memory of the game of creation. Only we will be just insignifcant bits in what is know as Gods realm.
