If the censorship police don't like who you are bashing or don't agree with your prediction then Trin would be forced to pull it or face legal ramification. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 399487Oh, im convinced this is the future of america. what better way to protect the parasites and corruptors , then to pass laws making it illegal to critisize them in public and on forums ? YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE FUTURE. |

And add to that a populace that makes decisions based of emotion and is generally unable to make rational decisions without some dogma attached. We do have a problem, i just dont believe there is any real solution except for perhaps real education. I double understand how board members would feel threatened by this, seeing how this board is a prime example of disinfo extremist propaganda. |

I have an idea before we worry about the internet having wrong information being posted on chat forums, how about we pass laws making it illegal to spread lies and disinformation on MAINSTREAM NEWS/ MEDIA OUTLETS ? ya know, let use a lil sanity here ? |

What about official lies? Are we not allowed to expose the false "facts" our Coverment uses to micro-manage our lives? Are we not allowed to expose intentions to do harm, on the part of Officials and leaders? Are we not allowed to wonder aloud, what this is coming to? Officials are the LIARS! We the people are just trying to figure out what the fuck is true and what is not true. |

Lets talk about sanity, the reality is while the mainstream media does slant stores and use language to create a specific consensis very rarely could you prove that they were involved in obvious lies and disinfomation. Key word here is sanity, sure from a extremist point of view every word out of their mouth is propaganda but that not really the case. Also since extremist and wackos do not generally watch the mainstream media they are not effected, they are however effected by msg boards such as this one hyping up civil war etc.... |

Cosby accused Zenger of seditious libel. The law of seditious libel held that the greater the truth, the greater the libel, meaning that if the articles were true, they would, of course, undermine the Governor's authority. Zenger was represented by the most prominent attorney in British America, Andrew Hamilton. Reasoning that his client should be acquitted because what he had published about the governor was, in fact, true, Hamilton convinced the jury to find Zenger not guilty. Later, "A Brief Narrative of the Case and Tryal of John Peter Zenger," written by Hamilton, was published anonymously in Zenger's paper. The Brief Narrative argued that newspapers should be free to criticize the government as long as what they wrote was true. The article helped shape the political culture that led to the Revolutionary War and the subsequent adoption of the Bill of Rights. Comment: How wonderful they get their ideas from the worst of British precedent. At least the Jury system worked at that time, while it does not work too well in the present time.
