Having been initiated into four secret societies (no not masonry), I can tell all of you, from a first hand perspective that they are all original and have no other purpose than the highest aspiration (God) and the frienships of others seeking God.
Their are secret societies that are made up of a bunch of a-holes though.
You have the love of God vatriety and you have the love of self variety.
Super different and then you have everyone else in between.
So not all of them are bad, just some and some are gas stations, green houses and cafeterias on the path home to God.
It's a fun and wild trip, don't hesitate to step on the path if you hear the calling and have the strength.
One of a thousand hear it, of those one in a thousand follows.

Calling Luther a Rosicrucian is just a slander. They were and are a secret society. There's no way to know if he was one. In fact i don't believe they even existed at the time. The protestant reformation was founded on the Bible which books of predate the Roman Church. The reformation and following Protestantism were movements to get back to the Bible (Sola Scriptura!).
Catholics say Constantine did not found their Church. But Constantine did make the Church universal or Catholic. Before this time there were numerous churches, such as the Nazarenes. After Constantine these other Christian movements were banned. Whether the Catholic Church was founded by Christ with Peter is a different question.
The early church before Constantine's law of 321 kept the biblical 7th-day Sabbath. The Catholic church founded by Constantine changed the Sabbath, thus changing God's law.

Trinity?
Not everything the RCC says is automatically wrong. The trinity is found in the Bible. However, what the Catholic Church says and what they practice are two different things.
The official position on the Trinity of the RCC is that of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. But, that the Church now takes charge of the second person as Christ's representative Church on earth. In practice they go even further by bringing in Mary, so that worship becomes about Mary and Jesus. Can someone tell me what the ultimate goal is for any and all secret societies individually and collectively? To say they wish to form a New World Order ... is not adequate. Do they all wish to form a New World Order? Of what benefit to anyone who is a higher initiate in a secret society is a New World Order? Access to food, oil ... when the shit hits the fan? Freedom from being killed by aliens (demons) who are demanding a one-world government which failed in ancient Babylon? To say that elitists want ultimate power is not an adequate answer, because they already have power if they control everything. Why do the Jesuits -- i.e., occult Catholics on acid -- feel so strongly about the papacy? Do they want everyone to be Catholic? For what purpose?
