Nobody in the USA gives a fuck about real issues.
My relatives are freaking out because the coach for the philidelphia Eagles died from cancer.
Very sad,im sure,but they wont even see the super bowl if they dont protect their immune systems,they will be dead!

The only reason health care is so expensive is because of the middle-man - the insurance companies. If the patients dealt directly with the doctors and hospitals, rather than being able to say ' Bill my insurance, they'll take care of anything you need to or want to do', then the costs would be kept down the same way costs are kept down anywhere you shop, by direct action between the consumer and provider. If we could all go to K-mart and say ' bill my insurance' very soon K-mart would be too expensive for anyone to pay cash at. I've seen dental costs go way up as soon as dental insurance became widespread and now you can't afford to see a dentist without dental insurance either. Back in the 70's I was a poor student but even I could afford to see a dentist. Now I make a good salary but would hesitate to have dental work done without a dental plan - for example.

40 ago when i was a sick kid,the doctor came to my house on his bicycle,numerous times to make sure i was ok, they cared back then. The problem with medicine is PARASITES.
The lawyers and accountants and regulators.
Doctors could go back to being highly respected members of the community if they could be clensed of the idea that respect comes from living in a rapper mansion and driving the latest Lexus.
Money is neither health,nor wealth,as long as society tells doctors that success is a pay check,we will be screwed.
Doctors used to work at their trade for the love of healing,
(How Noble) Now they will give you a pair of huge tit's for $7000.
Body mechanics for cash,not doctors for love.
And the lawyers accountants and politicians who suck the life from them,because they are making a few bucks,the parasites were once pariahs.Now they are the respected members of the community,It is all upside down and backwards.
I feel sorry for Doctors who have comitted so much of their live to learn their science/Art, only to be tangled up by paper pushers,same for nurses too and dentists.
And any other trade that get's sucked down by the rule maker people.(Produce nothing paracites)

There are still a few good doctors out there but more and more I've run into those that are in it for the money and it's sad.

I actually acquired our pediatrician because my daughter at 4 had symptoms of diabetes and the "family" doctor (we no longer have him) brushed her off but this pediatrician was the one on call the night my daughter was admitted to the hospital for tests. She took over my daughter's care from that point on and when she went on vacation a couple of weeks later she called personally and gave me her pager number and the hotel number to where she was staying as well as the times she wouldn't be near her pager. Not many doctors I know will go to great lengths days and I'm glad I found this jewel for my kids.

My son is in China and had to have a complete physical. Over there, they do not have insurance, they pay as they are treated. It cost him 75.00 for every test under the sun. He got an eye exam, glasses, lenses for old glasses and cost 35.00. Back to the cash system and no insurance? No paperwork and all the doctor has to focus on is treating patients.

How I and many outside USA are feeling about this thread.
