I once overheard an adult make a comment about the huge wind generators on a wind farm. She said something like "It's windy enough here, why do they need to generate more wind".

Not too embarrassing just goofy.

As a woman I love shopping, I also love collectibles and had a nice collection of German beer Steins.

Friend asked me if I wanted to go to shopping at Stein Mart. Said the place was HUGE and had great selections.

Very disappointing when I arrived and saw that it was not a giant beer stein store. LOL

In the same "not exactly what I expected category":

Once, I got a notice from the post office that I had a letter that I needed to sign for. I went to the post office and handed the teller the notice. He said "Oh, right, you have a love letter" and went off to retrieve the letter.

A love letter, Oh goody.

However, the intrigue ended as he handed me a letter from the IRS.
