so therefore you would need 1/6 of the power needed to launch off the earth. but yet the Saturn 5 had 3 stages.

Try reading the other posters post. something about an atmosphere. It also had to lift the weight of the fuel needed for punching through the atmosphere, and the stages them selves.

Are you really that uneducated?
