The silence after the storm... I was in a big one in Prue Ok. It devastated the area. I will never forget it. Tornadoes are a big deal... They eat trailer homes for a snack. Peoples lives were strewn about randomly as far as the eye could see. It is surreal. Very glad to hear you are OK..If anyone was ready you were.

i tell ya, shit happens, it is a good idea to be prepared. friends went to the store last night looking for food and all the prepared/easy foods were gone, generators were gone, ice was gone, could not get gas or use an atm. you also provide your own security, something to think about.

having lanterns and chem lights were very nice to have, along with an emergency radio and police scanner. camping gear for cooking is proving handy. a generator would be nice, if you are going to be a few days with out power.

checking email and heading back, enjoy your electricity :)

After Hurricane Katrina devastated my neighborhood, 2 of the best things I had were an inverter (get at least 1500W) and a fully-charged car battery with a handle. I was able to save the entire refrigerator/freezer contents! Later I was able to clear a path and finally get the generator hooked up. 1) Water and gas 2) Inverter and battery 3) Generator

Flu prevention? Hmmmm - - healthy is as healthy does. Good diets, rest, love in the life and not stress via discord - - avoiding sugar and alcohol ... not saying never, just recommending moderation in all things.

I've never taken a flu shot and hope to keep it that way.

I've read about the cytokine storm and have added cigarettes to my medicine cabinet - - never thought I'd see that day, LOL!

I also rely heavily on Psalm 91 and that God is watching over all of us.

No matter what, I'm/we're in His hands and He has promised to be with us, no matter what.

On a pretty much regular basis, even knowing all this, I have to let go and let God.

And then, comes the peace like a river.

No worries.

Ain't nothing going down on the earthly realm that God is not aware of. We have lots of promises about the plans of evil men coming to NOTHING.

Rescue is coming!

The Kingdom of God is soon upon us and I rejoice in that!

It's going to be a wonder-filled time - - greater than our wondering can imagine!

GLP will have a special gathering place and I hope to meet you there! Until then ...
