Wonder why they cornered him at a Federal Building?

or intentional....supposedly it's a "protective intelligence matter."

Interesting wording. That would imply to me that they think it's external.

Here´s a conspiracy for you - maybe this guy has some criminating proof Obama and threatened the white house with it. That robot could have plented the bomb there to make it look like he is a terrorist, and like the person mentioned earlier - they are waiting for mass media coverage.

Do terrorists drive cute little love bugs?

This was in Mission Impossible III? Dude parked over a manhole cover and he's long gone. Probably on the roof.

nothing is brewing--because he made threats they are being extra careful
if he had a bomb it would have went off already

what a country

don't be sure

they like to wait till they have full media coverage before doing it

they'd have already drug his ass outa there if there was no bomb

I think they verified it with that robot

He ONLY threatened to show the O-bummers original Birth Certificate, or he could resign and be arrested. The chose the 'Waco approach'; make a charge, kill the guy before he can release the info to the controled media ( but he DOESN'T know this ). Keep him from any press coverage; just PROTECT the O-BUMMER/Demoturds in DC while they LOOT the country and attempt to kill us all off with controled medicine !

sure seems like overkill

I dunno. If there are explosives, which seems likely given the response, then you can't be too careful.

I wouldn't rule out a chemical / bioweapon yet either.

Re: Live: secret service and police in standoff in L.A - Was This A Staged Event?
Protective Intelligence, from Wikianswers:

Protective Intelligence is methods used to identify, investigate and analyze threats to public figures.
Protective Intelligence maybe further viewed as an important step in determining what threats exists. When threats are determined through a threat assessment, vulnerability assessments can be made and a thorough analysis of all potential danger evaluated.

In 1998 the Department of Justice completed a Protective Intelligence & Threat Assessment report. In part this report details the U.S. Secret Service who conducted an operational study of the thinking and behavior of the 83 persons known to have attacked or come close to attacking prominent public officials and figures in the United States during the past 50 years. The Exceptional Case Study Project, was recently completed;its findings are leading the U.S. Secret Service to refine and improve its approaches to preventing assassination attempts.

Public sector companies such as Protective Intelligence International now provide such services to Fortune 500 companies. Once thought to be reserved solely for those in the charge of the U.S. Secret Service, Protective Intelligence is now offered to corporations, celebrities, high net-worth individuals, religious leaders and anyone with the need to protect themselves.

The study examined the thinking and behavior of all 83 persons known to have attacked or approached to attack a prominent public official or figure in the United States from 1949 to 1996. During this time period, 74 attacks and near-lethal approaches occurred. Six attacks were carried out by 16 individuals who were members of groups. Sixty-eight of the attacks and near-lethal approaches were carried out by 67 individuals acting alone. (One individual attacked two public figures.) Targets of these individuals included Presidents, other officials protected by the Secret Service, Members of Congress, Federal judges, prominent national political leaders, State and city officials, business executives, and entertainment, sports, and media celebrities.

Contributed by: Steve Krollpfeiffer, Protective Intelligence International with information from the DOJ guide: "Protective Intelligence & Threat Assessment Investigations".

I'm guessing it's easier to leave the people there than to try and force them to get down lol. Depending on how the building is (I'm not watching the feed), it might be ok if it's a small explosion.
