what the heck. there has to be something i am not checking. here is the GPU i have [link to www.newegg.com] i don't think it is a hardware problem, at least i hope not. you hold the remote. if no joy, try monitor on another pc, try another graphics card (or built in, if available).

k it looks alright but it isn't putting out. I did see that my graphics card was out of its socket when i did a quick inspect after the move. it doesn't exactly go in snug. Before the move it would play 1080HD and i kind of don't think that it broke during the move. maybe something tiny broke. i want take it to somebody in town to have a look.

You might have 2 Graphics cards. One built into the motherboard (vertical) and an expanded, better one below (horizontal), unplug it from the vertical output and plug it into the lower, horizontal one. Peace
