During the first three hours, a special program on vaccinations and health concerns featured homeopathic & acupuncture physician Dr. Robin Falkov and three experts in alternative healthcare she invited to participate in the discussion. Barbara Loe Fisher, the co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), pointed out that legislation passed in the wake of 9-11 allows experimental vaccines to be tested on Americans without liability, in the event of a "public health emergency." And now with the advent of Swine Flu, the US government may be planning forced inoculations in schools this fall. She noted that "adjuvants" added to vaccines to make them more potent can cause problems for certain people. Fisher and Falkov advised people to educate themselves on vaccine risks and specific public health laws in their state.
Dr. Andrew Moulden spoke about medical discoveries that connect vaccinations to chronic disorders and disease, such as autism, ADHD, Sudden Infant Death, and Gulf War Syndrome. He believes that vaccines impair blood flow and introduce brain and body damages. Further, a number of vaccines contain aluminum, which he said was particularly problematic.
Jane Burgermeister talked about her filing of criminal charges in Austria against Baxter Healthcare and WHO, related to Baxter’s Austrian subsidiary distributing 72 kilos of vaccine material contaminated with live bird flu virus to sixteen laboratories. She considers this an act of bioterrorism rather than an accident.
Falkov recommended the Vaccine Safety Manual by Neil Miller, and stressed that the possibility of mass vaccinations with an unproven, possibly toxic substance should serve as a wake-up call for people to join together on a community level and consider action.

Pest found in package had citrus disease
FRESNO, Calif. — Tests on a bug found by a dog sniffing packages at a FedEx facility showed it carried a disease capable of devastating California’s citrus industry, agricultural official said Wednesday.
But state officials believe the citrus industry escaped potential disaster because the curry leaves carrying the bug were still inside the package at the Fresno airport.
On Wednesday, U.S. Department of Agriculture tests confirmed the live Asian citrus psyllid nymph found in the leaves last month was infected with the huanglongbing virus — the first such find west of the Rockies.
Huanglongbing, or citrus greening as it is commonly called, has killed tens of thousands of acres of citrus across Florida and Brazil and has caused billions of dollars in losses.
“This is pretty scary,” said Mike Jarvis, spokesman for the California Department of Food and Agriculture. “There is a potential for a huge problem. Thank goodness for the Fresno dog team.”
Joel Nelson, executive director of California Citrus Mutual, said the close call showed the potential vulnerability of the industry.
Chelsea, a young Labrador retriever on loan from the USDA to the Fresno County Agricultural Commissioner, hit on the package in early July during her routine inspection of packages arriving at the terminal for distribution throughout the community.
The curry leaves had eluded inspectors in Los Angeles, where the package initially arrived in the U.S.
It was the first time psyllids have been found in California north of San Diego and Imperial counties, where they had migrated across the Mexican border. None of those trapped so far has tested positive for the disease.
Fresno County officials have stepped up trapping efforts in the area around the property where the package was to have been delivered.
“Just in case they received packages in the past,” said Deputy Agricultural Commissioner Tye Hafner, Chelsea’s handler.
It is illegal to bring plant material into the United States without a permit. Hafner said agricultural officials were investigating.
Citrus officials hope the incident will raise awareness and vigilance at inspection stations.
“California is vulnerable, and all it takes is one individual bringing in host material to cause so much damage,” said Larry Hawkins, spokesman for the USDA. |

Remember how we were wondering WHY the local media wasn't even reporting on this at the time? We're talking LA here, were KCAL will stay on a car chase all evening forgoing all other news.
Well this morning, both Fox11 and KTLA spared nothing in the hours long coverage of some gangbanger trapped by the po-po on a roof. No weather, no other news, all cameras trained on mr. gangster and his baggy pants.
And yet an 8 hour stand off with the police gets ZILTCH???
