I'll probably get trashed for this, but Suburu wagons are also very reliable. Many of them have 4-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Also, Volvo 850 Wagons are damn solid vehicles. Very good up to about 1996-7. Repairs can be expensive. Needs timing belt about every 70k miles.

I used to have a 66 chevy biscayne wagon. Maintenance and repairs were cheap and easy DIY.
