What you need to do is get a good amount of salt and lemon inside that sucker, then rub some honey over it.

Sounds weird, but it works......so long as pain is what you're looking for.

it works :-) for me anyway. after gettin them regularly , now, i've had one tiny one in 7 months. once they appear i have a look at myself and how i'm being, .. am i talking too much, am i talking rubbish, running on autopilat? am i allowing energy to be drained off me unwittingly? look at different issues and see what is my body saying to me, why the need to manifest this sore.

i think the body speaks. it always has just i wasnt listening. now i do and this kinda thing has diminished big time.

Rub a little of your ear wax on your sore several times a day (use a q-tip, even your little finger works) until it's gone. It'll help relieve the pain and dry up the sore. Usually within a day or two.

I know it sounds funny, but it works. Best time to catch them though is when it's in the tingling stage. Won't even form a scab, it'll just go away.

Plus this will give you a way to lick ear wax throughout the day under the cover of licking a cold sore.

This is strange, I have had problems with cold sores ( at the sides of the mouth usually) lately. Get them like once or twice a year. I was looking on the internet for solutions and ran across a post on some forum where someone said it was basically a fungus and to put something like lamosil ( that cream for atheletes foot) on it. Or if a female and there happens to be some of that yeast infection cream ( sorry to be so graphic) laying around, dab a bit of that on it. Being a female I had some from a couple years ago .

And before anyone makes smart comments yeast infections can be caused by taking antibiotics or just a low immune system . Cold sores are very common, occuring with colds and allergies often.

ANYWAY.. point is... I dabbed a bit on it and it cured it within a day. I had been putting on that expensive stuff called abreva with no luck for WEEEKS.

This antifungal cream cured it within a day. Try it... it won't hurt and you may be happily surprised.

I know it sucks .... pay no attention to the childish comments some feel compelled to make anytime anyone ask for help with something on here. :-)

After the cold sore heals 2 weeks later you still have 5 weeks to recover from eritema mutiforme.
