Its impossible to correct a recession this quick its simply impossible.
So what happened here?Perhaps we didn't have a recession in the first place perhaps its just a manipulated orchestrated crash.
The fact the economy is in a bad way doesn't necessarily mean there is a recession.
In order to not have a recession technically you need a certain period of a certain amount of positive growth not just 1 month.
The period and the % of growth is debated. |

That is the second or third time Bernande has said the recession is over. I guess, he thinks if he keeps saying it
that it will come true. For a guy who said he was a scholar
on the great depression and said that the federal bank caused
it, he seems to have missed a lot of points of it. Then again
maybe he is just following the same game, looks that way. |

Obama: Well, the cash for clunkers is winding down, now what are we going to do?
Staff: Well what about another stimulus package?
Obama: Naw, not right now. Have you got anymore catchy names to fork over money to the beliggered?
Staff: Well you have the health care package to promote and Rush and Glen Beck are promoting mass chaos by getting the public to really debate and attend mass meetings.

The latest GDP estimates say the Australian economy expanded by 0.6 per cent in the second quarter of the year - a growth which continues to defy expectations and gravity. The surprise economic expansion, in a time when risks remain on the world stage and when stock markets still have the jitters, has economists lumping praise on the Government.
The eternal optimist CommSec's Craig James is feeling vindicated. "Australia certainly can claim to be the wonder from down under," he said. "Over the past eight years, there's only been one quarter, one three-month period, where the economy has gone backwards. "Our record economic expansion has just completed 18 years. We've now moved into our 19th year. "When you consider that we've just gone through the global financial crisis, this is a remarkable performance."
Government stimulus appears to have played a big role in maintaining growth, with Treasurer Wayne Swan today claiming credit for the figures, and rightly so, economists say. "I think that the Government can rightly claim credit for the fact that the economy is continuing to grow," Mr James said. The Royal Bank of Canada's Sue-Lin Ong agrees. "I thought it was a pretty impressive set of GDP numbers today," she said. "Growth coming in at 0.6 per cent, helped obviously by the fiscal stimulus from the Government, boosting private consumption and business investment.... |

Somehow Australia will enter a depression of unknown dimensions.

Bullish Market !
Brokers, businessmen, and even the general public more optimistic; over 75% of brokerage houses now advise buying stocks.
"Market considered stronger technically from recent period of consolidation, move upward on higher volume; declines of June and early August are seen as having shaken out weak hands, as indicated by shrinkage in brokers' loans.
Recent economic news has also been encouraging, including steel production, retail and mail order sales.

Retail is car sales. Car sales were artificially stimulated by cash for clunkers. It is all smoke and mirrors.
I know tons of people who are unemployed or will soon be unemployed. I know people who can't pay their mortgage because their pay has been slashed. Our states are broke. Our citizens are tapped out. There are empty retail spaces everywhere. There is a huge glut of houses on the market and the prices continue to drop.
Bernanke you lie!
