mr...bojangles User ID: 754165 Mexico 08/22/2009 02:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I use google chrome... Beyond one's own mind there is no dazzling light to come shining in from outside to wake one up. If one recognizes one's own intrinsic State as pure from the beginning and only temporarily obscured by impurities, and if one maintains the presence of this recognition without becoming distracted, then all the impurities dissolve. This is the essence of the Path-namkhai norbu. Why is there a legend about the descent of Christ into hell? The Teacher addressed the lower strata of the astral world, saying: Why, by cherishing earthly thoughts, bind oneself eternally to Earth? And many revolted in spirit and rose higher. Thread: I shot video of the earth from my spacecraft, enjoy! |

Quoting: anonanon 754118The people who run websites. The older browsers don't support current standards / technologies, and often don't even support the older ones correctly, which means they have to do lots of testing and often have to implement workaround to bypass bugs in those older browsers. If you don't trust Microsoft (who make Internet Explorer) or Google (who make Chrome), there's always Firefox, which is open source (meaning people can audit the code for nasties.) Alternatively there are quite a few alternative browsers around: [link to en.wikipedia.org] Be aware, though, that most sites will only test with the well known ones, you might run into glitches with more obscure ones. Personally, I trust Firefox.. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 715509 United States 11/21/2009 09:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why bother? So you can load into your computer even more commericals? Its the ADS, stupid, that are stealling all your bandwidth you are paying for. I remember when Cable TV was completely AD free, now they have nearly everyone PAYING to watch commericals, what a deal. Oh, and Free Ineternet, I always thought that to be an oxymoron, like you have to pay your ISP to even have an internet connection. And so my browser will know longer be 'supported', well big fracking deal, its not like any of these companies make willing house calls to my place to fix their broken browsers anyway, just one stupid patch on top of another stupid patch. More patches in ALL of these browsers now than my 30 year old pair of blue jeans. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 538386 United States 11/21/2009 09:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I use google chrome... Quoting: mr...bojanglesI do too....unless I am researching something I don't want tracked, then I switch over to FF. I love Chrome, I don't trust Google. Chrome is kick-ass for the normal daily stuff though. I like how it stays out of the way of surfing. Firefox is too busy looking for me, and I only use IE if I am testing a site I am building. |
