Unless you have a self-produced, self-advertised, self-promoted and more importantly, self-financed musicians (so, no artists today), then none of them are 'against the elites'. They still draw down their paycheck with music industry money. If they comply, they are rewarded with fans and fame. If they refuse, they are relegated to the trashbin of oblivion.
