Anonymous Coward User ID: 77394 United States 08/24/2009 01:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The depression did not end until the 1950s, it was eased by the world war2. The 50s was the climb out of the depression. There were more jobs during the war(women worked) but they didn't pay much, nor were solders paid very much. After the war people started to build up businesses, mostly in the cities, then it spread to the country side during the late 40s and up into the 50s. The FDR policies made the depression worst than it would have been, spending money that was not there, same thing is happening now, except it is worse than before. The only way out now is a huge fall, I can guess the the fall will be a leave a big hole. |
