Image expert? You really are a dip. What matters in an image is pixel width, not dpi. dpi only comes into play in printing.
If I have a 8x10 at 72 dpi, and a 2x2 at 300 dpi, which has the most information?
Ah, but even more importantly for astronomical photographs is resolution. And that is expressed, not in dpi, but in distance/pixel. The best cameras we've got pointed at the Moon are expected to give us up to 40 cm/pixel.
If you were a Xerox trainer, it was on how to clear paper jams.
