Anonymous Coward User ID: 391569 United States 08/25/2009 09:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | THANK GOD Quoting: Anonymous Coward 756087A like minded person. I just don't see what the big deal is. I am a huge music lover. All kinds. i just don't see what the big deal is. Frankly, they kinda suck. do you understand songwriting.. ? do you understand music theory ? do you understand the technical advancements made in the studio because of the Beatles desires to break the molds in music recordings ? if you answer no to such questions, then it is understandable why you would think the Beatles sucked...because you dont have a clue about such things. So you're seriously arguing that someone who has understanding of all these things MUST love the Beatles? Really? Wow... Do I have to go to film school and take acting classes and learn everything about the film industry in order to tell you that certain movies were bad? Negative. Oh, and you're an idiot. nope... loving the beatles, and being able to appreciate their achievemtns are 2 differnt things. Your argument is dumb and you failed to acknowledge this. Your argument is that someone has to have knowledge of music theory, songwriting, and the technical advancements made in the studio during their time before you can say they suck. I guarantee that such a person exists, but it's silly to act like you have to have these qualifications to judge musical talent. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 751692 United States 08/25/2009 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Im a huge beatles fan....and am a songwriter myself, having has some moderate success in a very corrupt and misrun business within music nowadays. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 756087with that said...I always though Lennon was a bit of a hypocritical ass . But he was the intial driving force behind the Beatles bandmembers. Luckily, it didnt take mcartney to long to catch up or surpass Lennons power within the Beatles, and b the year 1965-66, I feel Mcartney was the better songwriter in the band,. In fact, Mcartney was the best muscian in the band...he could play many instruments very well...from drums, to piano, to guitar, to bass... lennon was mainly a rhythm guitarist..who could tinker around on piano or bass, but wasnt very fluent on thiose instruments like Mcartney was. Yea, Lennon managed to tinker out a minor hit with "Imagine". |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 756087 United States 08/25/2009 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I guess my perspective is simple.. I will usually valiue a opinons person, if that person has trained knowledge on a subject.. case in point.. if somone says they think the beatles sucked, but that person doesnt play instruments well, doeant have songwirting skill, doesnt understand music theory or doesnt knwo about advancements in studio technologys due to the beatles recordings/ writing, then that persons opinions will mean much less to me then someone who has a strong understanding of such points. |

I don't need to insult people or use bad language, my teenaged friend. There are countless artists who have proven that you don't have to be good to sell records. |

Never under estimate the influence a crazed idealistic woman can have on a man. I believe she stunted any creative effort we could have seen from Lennon from Lennon in the '70's by screwing up several of his albums. Notice that on Double Fantasy he did a good thing, split the record with her, basically keeping her off "his" tracks were the best he's done. I still give him kudos for Mind Games, Number 9 Dream, Instant Kharma. |
