***PIRATE BAY IS BACK - WITH A VIRUS*** | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1075637 08/26/2010 03:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well you shouldn't go or trust any of those sites, as anything you download from there could be a virus , some of the most advanced viruses attack the partition so even if you think you can avoid the virus by having two independent drives then think again since it can jump any barriers |

Quoting: MJBI went to TPB, didn't see any virus warning or anything. I'm using KIS2010 it came up that it had been quarantined on my laptop as soon as i went to the page...could be a coincidence but i doubt it. PCguard Anti-Virus 25/08/2009 15:28:50 File Name Virus Action Date C:\Users\Matt\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\NYVKUMG9\adobe93[1].pdf Exploit.Win32.Pidief.bjx Quarantined 25/08/2009 14:56:48 PCGuard anti virus? It would be shit and have more false detections than the good ones. |

| CSCK User ID: 1114841 09/30/2010 12:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Once again...commerce takes over. Hell, if I had the money to startup a goood P2P system that wasn't subject to most of the "western" world laws, I would do the same. and if I couldn't...I would sell spam advertising....it's to bad that Pirate Bay sold out..guess I am gonna have to go back to serving my own software via my Venz. server. Does anyone really thing that torrent searchers wanna talk with "girls in our area" or find "porn in NYC"? I can walk out my door and find real porn that is much better ;-) ![]() |
| samjam User ID: 1150163 11/02/2010 03:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I even tried System Restore and it wouldn't allow it to be restored. What do I do? Quoting: Feeling Hopeless 889661I appreciate the help......... I'd say it's time to format and re-install your operating system. Perfect working copies of corporate XP are available on P/B and they work great. No serial...no activation and no register. I can re-install as often as needed. My advice?...Get a cheap computer for P/B purposes only. Let that one get the virus, if there is one. That way you're not wrecking a good computer.....Or...start using Linux Ubunto. |
| koch User ID: 1170370 11/20/2010 12:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ya I'm hesitant to believe that the virus scanners are detecting false positives. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 750065My scanner goes haywire whenever I visit that site. It slows down my computer for like 10 seconds while all the scripts and crap are being scanned and blocked and what-not. I do computer repair for a living, if you go to top 100, it hits you with scripts.....rogue antivirus. def confirmed. view the page source....shady shit |
| freedomrizing User ID: 1234513 01/18/2011 07:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, those false alerts that you TPB advertisers keep talking about? They disabled my task manager, kept me from getting on the internet, slowed down my computer to a crawl, and disabled my virus scans. Twice. The first time the computer blue screened a couple of times and then crashed altogether. The second time, I knew what was coming and caught it in time. That's some pretty impressive work for a false alert! I've just got my computer clean again and I'm here trying to find out how to keep that stuff from getting on my computer, but it looks pretty clear... Stay off TPB. ![]() This thread is packed with music and movie industry shills. TPB is working just fine and dandy as always, completely virus free (although do always scan your torrent d/l's). Theres no getting rid of it :D ![]() |
