***PIRATE BAY IS BACK - WITH A VIRUS***

Can someone please Help. I tried to get help from the jerks on pirate bay forum and got nothing but ridiculed. I'm not a computer techy guy I'm a 32 yr old mom of 2 little babies and just wnated to get some movies for them so I had friends tell me how to do the whole download thing and went to the pirate bay to do it. Big mistake! I downloaded 4 movies and today I was browsing and all of a sudden my spybot popped up saying changes were trying to occur and I denied them. Then all of a sudden my desktop turned green with a black box saying "YOUR SYSTEM IS INFECTED System has stopped due to a serious malfunction. Syware activity has been detected. It is recommended to use flowers removal tool to prevent data loss. Do not use the computer before all flowers is removed." I've restarted computer a couple times, used Spybot Search and Destroy and had AVG running. Nothing has worked. I even tried System Restore and it wouldn't allow it to be restored. What do I do?

Sounds like you have one of the latest round of worms/trojans.

Go to this site and follow the directions and you'll have it off your system within the hour. I downloaded a file off Pirate Bay in late December and wound up infected, too. Thankfully found this solution and got it all cleared up. Although the program noted in the link I posted is named differently, the solution posted should work.

I hope you haven't formatted your PC yet. There is still hope! I got the same last night after stopping by TPB. kittensbytes' Anti-virus fixed my PC (I think). AVG didn't do anything. Get kittensbytes for free at [link to www.kittensbytes.org] I am not sure you will be able to install it on your infected PC or not. I was not able to install on one of my user accounts (couldn't run any .exe file without a window popup), but likely I was able to install it on another account. It removed the infections and now I am back to normal (I think/hope). Good luck.

P.S. If you don't have another another user account and unable to start any applications the normal way (e.g., double clicking the icon), try right clicking on the application and click "start". The "start" appears to be part of the hack from your infections, but it's the only way to start any application. I have Vista and was infected with Vista Anit-virus 2010. Check your taskmanager wo see if you have av.exe on it.

pdf virus? pdfs don't carry executable data, unless adobe has added bullshit to their file format.

What a load of horseshit, TPB is not infected , some torrents are fake when uploaded by "Anonymous" and may have viruses or trojan horses.

But the majority of the torrents are fine

yea, visited pirate bay about a week ago, soon after a single search, i got the ANTIVIRUS2010 kittens. Used kittensbytes to remove it successfully. Stupidly, i revisited forgetting and got a worse infection, currently trying to get rid of it.......

I use TPB frequently and have never had any problems from it. I think you guys are browsing rogue sites and getting viruses.
