That's too bad they've made their way across the world.

I encounter them on a daily basis on my property...they give me the creeps and I LIKE spiders!

The brown and white juveniles live all over in my gardens, so I always try to wear gloves when working. I had one half grown BW crawling up my leg the other day, and a mature female dropped down on me from the large barn door when I opened it. AUUGHH!

I have come across two small lizards that have been captured and drained of their bodily fluids by black widows, their webs are very strong and resilient, and their venom is potent.

They are shy, though, and bites are uncommon.
