I KNOW I had the SWINE Flu back in May, everyone can search for my post, and see how sick I was!! I have had the normal flu before in my life, this was NOTHING like it!!! I had to be rushed to the ER, because I couldn't breathe!

I've experienced this and seen it many many times with people.

It is easier for them to deny that anything bad can happen, then for them to take a proactive stance on an issue that could potentially be serious.

Hey Focus, thank you! He does indeed say, "why in my life, why ???" alot! He makes it clear! I always say, that we are living in the GREATEST times ever! We get to see G-D'S work unfold and be apart of it! He lives in a bubble, and wants to remain there!

My old neighbors [in upper 70s] felt the same way.
Now the first case at the local college was reported yesterday which is where one of their daughters works and they care for her children everyday.. We'll see how nonchalant they are about it when the grand kids get sick.

I saw where you had the swine flu in May - my family had it in July.

Does your husband wash his hands after he uses the bathroom at home? I'll wager he doesn't. Now, use that as an example of the rest of society. People sneeze, cough etc. right out in the open and do NOTHING to "detour" there respiratory sprayings.
In microbiology class, students had to "swab and culture" something, at the college. One student chose the top of a soda can. After the swabbing, it was placed on a Petri dish, placed in an incubator and POOF!! colonies of around 12 YES TWELVE, different bacterium grew!!!
It is common knowledge that MONEY has a GREAT DEAL of pollution. One of the MOST COMMON is FECAL MATTER!!
Can you say E. COLI and MANY, MANY, MANY MORE nasty little "bugs" that can make a person VERY SICK and possibly DIE.
I carry hand sanitizer is my purse, car, lunch box, locker, and all around my home. I like the packets, in my purse, where space is minimal. I also have a healthy supply of N95 face masks, in the even this swine flu outbreak increases.
It IS frustrating when a person offers EDUCATED INFORMATION and is "poo-pooed". All you can do is what "you can do".

Oh, the shopping cart thing, yeah i wouldn't worry about that so much. just carry hand sanitizer in your purse and use it when you leave. Same goes for fast food places with those bariers to the registers for customer lines.

My grocery store KROGERS, has hand sanitizing wipes, right by the shopping carts. I ALWAYS use one to clean the handles of the shopping cart and keep another one for periodic "swipes".
The produce department is another place where germs abound.
When the AGRICULTURAL WORKERS pick the fruit and have to go to the bathroom, do you think they wash their hands after every time they go? Do you further think they have porta-potties in the fields? Do you think they carry a roll of toilet paper with them/
