| U3 User ID: 9834739 01/21/2013 02:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are sooooo many different ways for us to look at all of this but I am sure there is only one way that is as close to "true" as possible within any given perspective. For each "teacher" I find it's their own personal spin and perspective that they inject into their teachings that I often find myself struggling with. The "truth" is, though, that every bit of information we uncover on this journey through our realization of perspective is limited by what we've personally come to believe ourselves to be. With our "ego" (what we have been) struggling to keep itself relevant, we often throw the babies out with the bathwater. Quoting: Jesse Sovoda I've found a comfortable state for my Ego where it is allowed to remain relevant and even thrive by simply allowing it to accept (believe) that it cannot be rendered irrelevant as long as it retains it's open minded skepticism. That belief, alone, has led me to notice the consistency in each perspective and has provided my Ego an alternate form of relevance and approval. Although we are driven by what we believe ourselves to have been, we can believe we are unbounded to the extent that our ego (the "thing" that we've always identified ourselves to be) is still nurtured, like a developing child innocent in it's action as it couldn't "know" better and therefore is never "wrong". It is our responsibility to get it to believe that it must accept and integrate "new" useful logic even if it coflicts with what it's previously come to believe it's experienced. Very nice! Thanks for sharing it. Truly a wonderful insight into not resisting ego. Do yourself a favor and watch this amazing video. | U3 User ID: 9834739 01/21/2013 02:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I kept meaning to ask Chaol a question. But, I never got it formed quite right. Anyway, I've been reading Seth material and I'm going to post this....so maybe it will come up whenever Chaol returns. Quoting: U3 It's an excerpt where Seth is talking about reincarnation, death and then how one decides their "next" life.... "It is almost impossible to speak of when the personality enters the physical body without discussing the ways in which it leaves it, for all this is highly dependent upon personal characteristics and attitudes toward physical reality. Decisions as to future lives may be made not only in between life conditions but also in dream states in any given life. > > You may have already decided for example, now, upon the circumstances for your next incarnation. Although in your terms your new parents may be infants now, or in your scale of time not even born, the arrangements may still be made." And I just found this too: "The whole self is aware of all of the experiences of all of the egos, and since one identity forms them, there are bound to be similarities between them and shared characteristics." Seth, Seth Material I am remembering correctly...that Chaol says the Seth material is good stuff? He gave it a nod. Check out Tom Campbell's lectures on youtube. Start with the cambridge one. My Big T.O.E. is his book and he has it online for free. Campbell's research at the Monroe Institute was heavily influenced by Jane Roberts and her "Seth". Binaural beats were "discovered" at the Monroe Institute and were called "hemisync". It's all relative. OK, I've snooped around MBT and was a vendor for the Monroe Institute, but I didn't know the rest. Thanks. Sorry for the Peer Pressure, there is just so much out there No, there isn't peer pressure. Seeing the dots connected makes me even more impressed in how my "journey" seems so perfect. When I read the Seth material yesterday, I was again reminded of A Course in Miracles, which has been a part of my path for a long time. Lesson 1: "Nothing I see means anything." Lesson 2: "I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me." Lesson 3: "I do not understand anything I see." and on and on. What is interesting to me, is all three of these; Chaol, ACIM and Seth, mention we are unaware of most of our thoughts. And I found that out for myself. I posted here about the day I took a walk and saw how easily I let things slip into unconsciousness. Anyway, the message to self is to watch for the portals I miss. And to do this by catching every thought. Chaol says the same thing really. He says to do things differently or else even Ec won't help. Do yourself a favor and watch this amazing video. I find myself consistently surprised by what I had ignored because of my selective ignorance for what I had believed to be irrelevant. I just started watching this. It's really interesting. Thanks. I'm sure what I've watched so far has something to do with Chaol's statement that we don't think. Anyway, this statement from the video, brings up questions. "There is no specific center of consciousness, the appearance of unity is, in fact, each of these separate circuits being enabled and being expressed at one particular moment in time." I don't understand how there isn't a center of consciousness. Otherwise, how can we self-reflect, like he talks about in the video? Also, how can we repress certain thoughts, if we don't think? Then he goes on on to say this: "....instead of a scientific view on what we are: a momentary expression of an ever-changing unity with no center. The psychological consequences of this as an objective belief system allow self-awareness without attachment to the imagined self, causing dramatic increases in mental clarity, social conscience, self-regulation and what's often described as being in the moment." Makes me think of Chaol! What I mean is I feel Chaol is aware of this. Whereas, I'm studying it. When I got back, I found a tab I hadn't clicked on among the tabs I always keep on my computer. It's a site I looked at a while back (and almost posted here). I guess I'm not finished looking at it. Anyway, here's the spiel: "The work in our laboratory focuses on computational modeling of the visual system. Our goal is to formulate models that describe how the brain encodes visual information, and that accurately predict how the brain responds during natural vision. We study the visual system because it is more approachable than the cognitive systems that mediate complex thought." The lab shows images of the mapping the brain does...and it looks very much like geographical patterns. | U3 User ID: 9834739 01/24/2013 05:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just posting for posterity :-) Quoting: X Won 1407931 I made some new Genius Models to complement the one I put in effect the other day: 1. Desired Perception: Entering the unit to my new job. Symbol: 3 inch piece of dow rod with a rock/quartz glued to one end and the back of a watch glued to the other with a length of connecting wire spiraled around the shaft and half of a "Merry Christmas" decoration attached to the end of the wire. Possibility: (I'm still having trouble with this element...identifying it, that is) The symbol is enveloped into a material section of an umbrella I tore apart and the whole thing was thrown onto the ground in front of the main drive to a similar workplace that I would desire to have the new job. (So is the possibility the ground, the drive/entry, or the umbrella section?? Interaction: The environment, workers leaving/entering the gate. Logic: Every time I pass by this area I will flash my lights and give a (non offensive) hand gesture out the window towards the symbol. Also, every time I enter/leave my own driveway, I will think of this symbol and envision driving into my new job. You're becoming quite good at this, especially with your desired perspectives (e.g., "Entering the unit to my new job" and "Reviewing Technical Schematics at my new job". (Though it would also work without the "new".) An offensive hand gesture could also work and may fortify the interaction. (As I mentioned before each element has a secret life as every other. So perhaps your offensive hand gesture is related to your hating your boss at your new job? And then when you have found yourself at the perspective of your new job the hand gesture is no longer necessary, as your boss is a different person. This is a bit more advanced but I thought I would at least mention the possibility.) It seems that your possibility element is that section of the umbrella. (The umbrella then becomes part of the sidewalk, even if temporarily, and takes on some of its values so no worries there.) It seems like a good element (and creative). A similar elements could be your symbol on the ground, covered by an umbrella. But yours could also be effective. 2. Desired Perception: Reviewing Technical Schematics at my new job. Quoting: X Won 1407931 Symbol: A large posterboard adorned with various representations/symbols of my colleges (e.g. transcripts, class projects/papers) and also my calendar workout schedule and a spreadsheet of organizations I want to work for and that I've applied to so far. Possibility: The posterboard is placed on an unused decorative easle in my library/gym of my house. (Again, is the possibility the easle, or is it the posterboard, or is it the room??) Interaction: It is faced in a way that it is exposed to the open room and main foyer and anyone who walks in or out of the house will see it...but mainly me and my brother on a daily basis as we read or workout. Logic: Every day I add some thing new to the poster in term s of job-related-thing. Every day I log a new workout onto the calendar with a special little symbol for that day. Everyday I stand in front of the poster before my workout and spin around 3 times then do a little dance (with jigs reserved for interview call backs). I'll log the other Genius Model later. Happy perceiving, all! The possibility element would be the easel. This model is quite surprising and is, from what I can see, more advanced than your other model. I will not comment farther on this (to avoid confusion) but am interested to hear how it goes. Any updates, XWon? I have to do another Genius because I have symbols coming in from an older one, so I used yours as a model. This also means I have to retire a Genius, because I promised Chaol I would only have 2 Genius maps while he is gone!
