One night recently my 10 year old son seemed to be in both the dreamworld and this one simultaneously. He was very scared. He was describing things to me that he could see, but I couldn't. He also said everything was speeding up. He referred to things in the room that I could see and carried on a proper conversation with me and was obviously awake in this world.

I've not witnessed or experienced anything like that before. And it is because of this thread that I choose to make sense of it like this. That, alone, is fascinating. A few years ago I would have perceived this differently and probably made it irrelevent.
