The delusion is that Jesus is God.
This is the one that even the elect may be decieved. If that were possible. It is not possible though because the elect have been given the spirit of truth. They seek God and love him. They dont seek a refuge from hell and they dont seek eternal life, because these are selfish desires. They follow Gods commandments. The most important of which is to have no other gods.

Well, its the belief in self, this whole world system, New Age, UFO stuff, Indego Children, Maiytrea, Harmonic Convergeance, etc.

No....not aliens. This will be something like what God did to the King of Egypt when he was sending His plagues upon the land.....he hardened his heart so that he would not let the people go. One day, God's offer....his free gift to mankind....will no longer be available. At that time, God will harden people's hearts (even more so than they already are)....and send them a strong delusion. This will occur when he is pouring out His wrath upon the world (the trumpet and bowl judgments). People will see this miraculous and terrible afflictions coming upon them.....and know they are from God....but will still not repent. See Rev. Chapters 8 and 9. God wants people to come to Christ by faith......not after seeing miracles....or acts of His judgment.

God will deliberately allow you to live under a false impression to the point

enormous FU for when you die and find yourself in hell.
Not the acts of a loving God? Too cruel? Well those who go to hell never
think of themselves as deserving of it anyway. Jesus could take any and
all athiests right now and bring them to heaven to prove beyond all doubt
he exists. He doesn't because you would still hate him anyway. He does not
judge you for encountering intellectual diffuculty regarding his existence.
You are judged because you hate what he believes in and stands for.
Mostly just hatred of his inescapeable authority. A never ending HUMILIATION
for your existence if you hate him.Millions and millions of discussions
regarding "God" and are all so pointless. Arguing over bible passages ,what
they mean, don't mean etc,. Heaven is God's home. You either have his
approval to be his eternal guest or you don't. All of the never ending debate
about whether he exists, which "religous" version is the truth about him
blah,blah blah. Those who go to hell are there for only ONE reason. Make up
your mind to hate God forever and never change your mind to the point
where if God ended hell after 100,000 years and welcomed you into heaven
you'd pick up right where you left off hating his guts. No amount of
punishment will/would change your heart and that's that. The majority of
humanity every generation ALWAYS hates the idea of hearing such a
sentence from God. Too cruel to even contemplate or make peace with.
Just because it insults your personal pride and your personal sense of right
vs wrong doesn't mean hell does not exist, or God does not exist. God does
not expect you to make peace with such a thing or love him if you don't
want to. Yep, quite the FU from Jesus to you is the strong delusion.
WELL, you really think you aren't answering to him for your FU attitude
towards him while you are living here on earth? YES ,you are with the
grandest kick in your balls at the end of your life. So ,you have a free will.
Hate him if you want you are NOT obligated to like him JUST BECAUSE
he's God. Brainstorm with Lucifer if you wish and figure out a way to kill
God. There is no difference between your personal hatred of God and
Lucifers. He was born an angel with powers you don't have but your
attitudes are the same. If he was human he would no different than your
typical anti authority teen rebel punk. So hopefully your hatred of God
gas just increased, Jesus could care less, the strong delusion stays,
completely justified according to his judgement. Just too bad he's all
powerful for you to do anything about.

Something is freaking me out a little lately and this thread seems as good as any to talk about it.

The other night I was in prayer but for some reason a strange reluctance to mention or pray in Jesus' name came over me. I tried again the next night and something is clawing at me trying to stop me from praising or mentioning Jesus.

What's going on with that?

i am amazed at the amount of people who are interested in that scripture yet at the same time refuse to hear the truth!
first of all, you will never know what the truth is unless you get off your high horse and get on your knees and ask him what the delusion is.
my god wants everyone to know, but that scripture talks about a love for truth not a love for ANYTHING else...if you love truth and you know jesus said i am the way the TRUTH and the life and yet you don't seek to know him; which means reading about him daily (at minimal) you will never know what or who he is and what salvation is or what the delusion is.
let me help if i may...in the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth...in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God...for in him dwelt all the fullness of the godhead(deity) bodly...God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, etc...Jesus is the express image of the invisible God (the spirit that created you) spirits dont die but the flesh that he wore died so we could be reconciled to the creator.
now...God did not do all that just so we could go on in sin...duh...if you believe that you can do what you want and still make it to heaven you you just fell for the delusion.
God tells us exactly how to be born again of the water and the spirit...he tells us exactly how to live holy as he is holy...he tells us exactly what is truth and what is lie but if you never read his word and pray and seek truth you will never find it.
old testament (will) tells us all the history of his earthly people which tells us by example how he wants us to destroy the works of our flesh (our enemy) the new testament (will) tells of the birth and life of christ with special enficis on the death, barial and resurrection of jesus (which by the way is the gospel "good knews") which we follow that examply by repenting (dying out to sin) getting baptized in jesus name (being burried ) and resurrecting by receiving the holy ghost (yes...speaking in tongues) and walking a knew life.
there are so many scriptures in the word of God that if a person was truly hungry for truth they would find it...i did and it has been awesome...i obey jesus because i love him and if you love someone you want to please them...look around...its only obvious who people love today...THEMSELVES and thats the delusion...we would rather please ourselves than please our creator and because of this GOD HIMSELF SHALL SEND THE STRONG DELUSION...he says why and i dont blame him one bit after all he has done for mankind and yet they ignore him to their own peril.

I don't know what the delusion is going to be. I've contemplated if it's not evolution. I mean when you understand evolution, you can see why people believe it so much. Now why they equate that to meaning that God doesn't exist is another story. I think that they can't accept any God who didn't personally create individual creatures in a puff of smoke. 1000 years is like a day and a day is like 1000 years to God so there's no telling if the days in Genesis are actual days or are they referring to a period of time, the period of time it took for God to plant the seeds of life and grow the culture that spread a greater variety across the earth. After all, the Bible doesn't say that nothing died before Adam sinned, it only says that man would die after Adam sinned. I mean plants had to die, right? Maybe animals did too, and maybe this was good because animals have no conscience like humans, but only live as they feel with no knowledge of the future.

I've only speculated this though. I don't believe that evolution created all the life we see. I believe God did that and designed a system that relies on changes to the basic program of life, the genetic code, to ensure continued survival even through the various changes of our planet. The genetic code gives life a very unique ability to continue. But it also just so happens that the genetic code also makes evolution so convincing, which has been the main reason behind why people go Atheist.

If Evolution is not the powerful delusion, it may be a part of it or it may be a merciful warning of how powerful the actual delusion is going to be. However, the fact that God warned us about it ahead of time is warning enough that it is coming.

As for those who question why God would deceive people, well, it's not like He didn't warn you way ahead of time that it was coming, and if you want to understand it a little better read the text. It says why, because people preferred to live in their sin, so God will send a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie.

Personally, I think it's out of mercy. Christ Himself already warned us how much worse it is for those that know of God and reject Him anyway. Think about it, if these people are deceived, at least they won't be guilty of knowing and rejecting God anyway. It gives people a way out who don't actually want to serve God. This way they can believe the lie instead of pretending to serve God out of fear of going to hell. I mean we see it all of the time, people who claim to be Christian trying to see how much sin they can get away with without going to hell. They don't want to serve God, they want to sin and still be saved. Well it will be worse for them to be hypocrites so God deceives them and gives them a way out. It's like they're working towards jumping off a cliff into destruction. So God speeds things up by bringing them to the cliff and letting them choose sooner rather than later so that they can go ahead, choose to jump off, destroy themselves and finally be done with it. Then their children can be saved when they learn from their parent's choices. This way the children will learn and go to heaven instead of being yet another generation doomed to hypocrisy and hell.
