Actually I'm not arguing the facts, totally know about and believe what the Bible says about Enoch, I believe there were nephilim or giants, fallen angels breeding with human women. My point is if you did research, you have to be careful with the books of Enoch that are around, there is more than one out there. It is not scripture, that is what you have to bear in mind. People that just accept a version of Enoch as fact, are more than likely to believe in the Baxter Revelation of hell, because people like that usually believe anything. That also happens to be false, I hope you know
I'm learning about all this so if you have information that's worth knowing please share it. I never claimed to be an expert on the subject but I have been interested for a long time and have sought to know more.
Thanks for answering me back without sarcasm. Makes me want to talk to you. For starters the book of Enoch makes some ridiculous claims such as 475 foot giants. As I said before, I believe there were nephilim before the flood, but this 475 foot thing is absurd.
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants. Indeed his bedstead was an iron bedstead. (Is it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit. (Deut. 3:11) Those measurements translate to more than thirteen feet long and six feet wide.
So assuming Og measured in height somewhere around his bed length, he may have been around 12 feet tall. Isn't that a lot more believable than 475 foot giants as in the book of Enoch?
There are many, many more inconsistencies. I do not believe the Enoch of the Bible, who so pleased God that God took him, would write anything that contradicted God. Just because Jude quotes from the book of Enoch does not make it scripture or totally true. I believe there may be some truth in it, but it does not measure up to scripture. Don't forget the Bible does record the words of false prophets.
Paul for example used a quote:

let me clear this up once and for all
the current writings of the book of enoch is god inspired (at least most of it)and i will prove it, but first let me point out that the early apostles and church fathers considered it to be inspired scripture, and later the apostate church suppressed it around 300-400 AD and the RCC created the heretical "sons of seth" doctrine which did not exist previously and most christians now accept this
the protestants are just as guilty as the RCC not so much as in creating false doctrines but as in rejecting certain scripture, and many churches today because it isn't in the "protestant canon"
this canon did not exist until the 1800's when the bishop of canterbury(church of england), decided drop some apocryphal books from the king james bible
the same thing goes for the reformation in the 1500's, and the catholic church, they are ALL guilty of rejecting scripture
the bible as we know it did not exist in the early church, and if anyone thinks that the 66 book bible is the ONLY scripture, how do you know?, who told you?, did god tell you?, can you prove it?
too many christians today believe what they are told by fallible men and the church and do not bother seeking the answers from god
do not underestimate the willingness of god to give you knowledge directly through his holy spirit

The quote in (Jude 14-15) & (1 Enoch 1:9) is as follows: "In the seventh (generation) from Adam Enoch also prophesied these things, saying: 'Behold, the Lord came with his holy myriads, to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners spoke against him'."
the main reason why the apostate church and many christians today do not believe the book of enoch is because of the description of fallen angels mating with women, and point to the verse jesus spoke about angels not marrying or being given in marriage, but do not read deeply enough and realise that he spoke of resurrected saints and angels in heaven serving god, NOT fallen angels who's whole nature had changed
enoch 6:1-2
1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
2 And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men
genesis 6:1-4
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God(angels) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

the heretical "sons of seth" doctrine emerged in the 400's from the RCC, saying that the sons of god referred to godly human believers marrying unbelievers (contradicting the early believers)
how could this produce giants?
also why not sons of cain and daughters of seth?

1 corinthians 11:9
11:9 for a man also was not created because of the woman, but a woman because of the man;
11:10 because of this the woman ought to have `a token of' authority upon the head, because of THE ANGELS
hardly anyone knows what this means but the book of enoch gives us the clues
a womens hair was tempting to men, and even the angels.
the early christians knew this and is the reason why paul said that women should wear a token upon they're head
leviticus 16:6-10
6 “Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering for himself and shall make atonement for himself and for his house. 7. Then he shall take the two goats and set them before the Lord at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 8. abaddon means destroyer, the book of daniel mentions the antichrist worshipping a god of war (the god of fortresses)

If you are carnal-hearted, meaning not yet Born-Again; you don't have any Knowledge of God or HIS Witness to us through The Bible. Such circumstances, being alienated from HIM, give rise to the idea that "there must be books left out of The Bible, and secret knowledge that has to be discovered".
It is all bullshit.
God's Word is not hidden or kept secret. HE doesn't need to hide anything, Until you are Born-Again, you can read The Bible all you want and you still don't Know or understand.

No matter how well intentioned, the carnal-hearted do not Trust God Fully. If they did/could, they would have made their surrender and been Born-Again.
What the carnal-hearted don't know is that God's Will IS Perfect! No reason to fear. No man can harm you if your are HIS.
Those who tout up Enoch and this other crap about Giants are simply showing their alienation from HIM. Have all the fun you want, but really, this is a matter of nonsense.

I have no idea about the authentication of anything I read even the bible. I will say the book of enoch (which I am not done reading yet) ha s struch a cord of common sense to me and opened my mind to a different way of thinking as to what evil spirits are, why they are still here, and closed a lot of gaps with the story of Noah.
Heck I am even open to the idea that the dinasours were not suppose to be on Earth.
Read, think, be open and learn. I hate it when people are so absolute on things and say this is total shit, or this is the total gospel. I think God wants us to learn, think and grow.
