Although i see that you wish to convey here that you are not acting out of self interest. And i respect that. Your choice of words, in the quoted text, is just not true. We (i live in 'the rest of the world') see hope for ourselves even without the US. Even in countering 'the elites'.

Further a few words of wisdom.
You have to understand that defence is only possible if you accept that something is there to defend from. Sometimes it's best just not to accept, instead of to defend. Because you will only give it power.
This is not ignoring, Ignoring implies that you take no action against what you do not wish to accept. Instead shift your focus to something that is the opposite of what you do not wish to accept. Accept the opposite.

Don't say: "I'm against suppression", say: "Im pro freedom."
