This chopper flew around for an hour due to that measly little teeny-weeny crop circle or.....was there a bigger formation that failed to get video-taped? I don't get it. And I always asked myself, why/who was taping these types of events (that seemingly capture another event) to begin with?

The crop circle was found in Oxfordshire and friends used to live in that county. Her husband was an helicopter engineer and he was ex-military, e.g. a private contractor.
There are hangers not far away where they work on helicopters. They could have taken one out on their lunch break to test it and look at the crop circle at the same time.
Of course people who live in these counties are interested in what goes on in them.

OP you are a dumb twat. It is a Royal Air Force Merlin, as many other posters have pointed out, and it is wearing perfectly standard low-visibility markings.
Crop circles are interesting but I am so sick and tired of these stupid, moronic, paranoid videos of 'black helicopters' etc..... try researching today's armed forces before spouting your mouth off about stuff you know nothing about! You just damage the credibility of the entire subject.

OP, by his record, is clearly paranoid and always has been. He is usually to be found skulking about on Salisbury Plain, a military training area, where he is convinced helicopters are interested in him whereas they are, generally speaking, just going about their normal day-to-day routine. Mind you, when we saw people loitering about in the crops or doging in amongst the bushes and trees as we flew over, we would occasionally go around just to see what they were up to. Squaddies get curious too, you know.
Oh, and by the way, for what it's worth, I am the registered Merlin, not the one who has already expressed views (with which I entirely agree, btw) in this topic.

They are interested because I was in the formation. probably just taking pictures, happens all the time and I still don't fully understand why they do it as every time they do I just post it on youtube.

This is all a bit fucked up.
I didn't know it was a Merlin as I've never seen one close up before and I wrongly assumed it was a Puma. I've looked at pictures on the net and now see that it's a Merlin, big deal. I also see the RAF logo at the back of the tail, again big deal. The fact is it turned up just after we did and left at exactly the same time after performing many low pass maneuvers.
