Hey everyone
I'm just posting this because I found it and thought it was interesting. Believe what you want. Most of you know 911 was an inside job. Alot of you think this is a manufactured virus, so do you really think that IF this virus turns deadly on a huge scale, tptb would hesitate in a MINUTE to impliment these types of draconian measures? ABA staff just participated in the invitation-only joint Department of Homeland Security/Centers for Disease Control private sector communications teleconference this afternoon regarding H1N1. Other participants from the travel industry included the American Trucking Associations and the National Association of Truck Stop Operators.
Norm Littler, who serves as Chairman of the Highway & Motor Carrier Sector Coordinating Council, the primary advisory body to DHS on highway transportation security and emergency preparedness, asked physicians from CDC on the call about any reports from local, state or regional governments suggesting restricting travel. The reply from the federal government agencies was that they were not aware of such recommendations from those agencies at any level. They added that at this time there is no justification at this time to restrict domestic travel. Littler, who also serves as Executive Director of the Bus Industry Safety Council, followed up by asking for elaboration, to which doctors replied that current recommendations and practicing good hygiene and common sense (e.g., staying home when sick), are sufficient at present.
All operators are encouraged to follow the guidance and precautions contained in this alert and to read the linked materials at the bottom, and to bookmark [link to www.flu.gov,] which should be checked daily for updates.
Should a passenger become ill and leave the motorcoach to be treated, CDC advises that the following surfaces should be cleaned at the seat of the ill passenger (or driver) and at adjacent seats in the same row, the backs of the seats in the row in front of the sick passenger's row or areas that the traveler frequented. Clean surfaces first with detergent and water and then disinfect with an EPA-registered disinfectant for use against influenza viruses. Ensure there is sufficient contact time between the disinfectant and the surface.
Be sure to clean the following surfaces:
* Armrests
* Seatbacks (the plastic and/or metal part)
* Tray tables
* Personal lights and climate controls
* Adjacent windows
* Individual video monitor
* Lavatory(ies) used by the sick traveler: door handle, locking device,
toilet seat, faucet, washbasin, adjacent walls and counter
* Luggage compartments
* Door handles
When cleaning, be sure to:
* Wear non-sterile, disposable gloves that are recommended by the manufacturer of the detergent/disinfectant while cleaning the seating area and lavatories or handling c |

Location Based Solutions in a Rapid Response to Hurricane Gustav. Along the Texas Gulf Coast, mandatory evacuation started in waves this morning. Communities closest to the coast put orders in place at 6 a.m. In Beaumont, the voluntary evacuation became mandatory at noon, but many residents weren’t waiting until the deadline.
Officials at the special needs evacuation site said things were going pretty smoothly, due in large part to the 211 system that lets them keep track of people who need assistance leaving, and a much more organized system for equipment. About 2,000 people have been helped, authorities said.
Beaumont public transit buses are shuttling residents from neighborhood schools to evacuation centers. Once there, they register with city fire and rescue personnel, who give them a yellow identification bracelet. The bracelet is stamped with the state seal, a barcode and a toll-free phone number.
The barcode is linked to a database maintained by the Texas Army National Guard. It’s the same system the guard used to track personnel coming and going from Iraq, said Lt. Sheila Tidrick.
Guard troops scan the bracelets as evacuees board busses headed north. They’ll be scanned again when evacuees reach shelters. If evacuees are separated from their families, they can call the phone number to find them.
Sunday morning, Cpl. Darrell Fountain was scanning passengers as they boarded buses. He said the mood at the evacuation center was calm. “It’s a great system,” said Fountain, who handed out water after Hurricane Rita. “It makes the process much faster, which keeps them from waiting very long to get on a bus.”
The buses also have GPS tracking units and a list of numbers to call in case of an emergency, according to a group of charter bus drivers who showed off their brand new state-issued cell phones while waiting to take evacuees to Tyler. |

Around these parts, it would be extremely easy to implement. Heck, they already do it with the semi's driving the roads. I went with hubby one day when he was delivering corn to the distilleries. Each pass by a weigh station, we had to turn in, only had to stop 1 time to speak with the patrol officers...the other times we were passed through because we were already "checked".
It would actually be really easy to implement on freeways and highways, but hard to implement on back roads, especially dirt roads around these parts. Many of them are minimal maintenance roads, and who wants to travel them with their new cars (many people worship their new cars, and throw a fit if a bird shits on it or they get noticeable dust coat on it). And I have a feeling that many, many people will be taken by surprise, just like they are when there are DUI check points.
And it wouldn't be hard to enact check points at a supermarket, gas station, employer, etc. With the sheep mentality of today's society, it won't be hard to carry this out. It's people like you who dismiss this outright that will allow it to happen. You think you're too smart, too free, and too superior for it to happen to...but so did the average German and Pole and Austrian...so did every Jew, Gypsy, Communist...so did every Animist, Christian, Atheist, et al in all the lands throughout time just before their demise.

I work in healthcare as a nurse...I am seeing H1N1 patients in my hospital and more coming in...the symptoms are coughing fever vomiting and worse..these symptoms lead to pneumonia very easily and people are at risk of losing their very lives. These people are VERY SICK!!

And I've had ONE single flu shot my entire 40 years, and guess what? That is the ONLY TIME I've ever had the regular flu! Yes, I've had colds, bronchitis, even walking pneumonia, but the flu ONE TIME, and that after getting a flu shot! I've even had a 24 hour "flu-like" bug before, which I think was more along the lines of food poisoning than flu.
I think this is WAY overblown, to put people in fear mode, and never know, people just might snap like they did in China or Japan (don't recall which) where a guy coughed in the vicinity of another, so the other beat him to death from fear of contracting avian flu. What a crock of shi'te!
