Obama's Radio Address: Pass My Health Plan; You'll Get an Insurance Card (And No Care)

September 13, 2009 (LPAC)—The thematic of Saturday morning's weekly radio address by President Obama was that Americans are all losing their health insurance, so they should be sure that his Nazi health plan is passed into law. He said that 17,000 people a day are losing insurance coverage, but, "Once I sign my health reform plan into law, they won't."

So far, this is truthful. Sure, they might indeed, all receive a plastic insurance card. But then, they face denial of care, because of Hitlerian "cost-effectiveness."

Obama's "coverage" theme is playing to the desperation of millions who have no insurance, and was further orchestrated by the release of two new government reports, getting big play.

On Sept. 10, the latest figures came out from the U.S. Census Bureau, of how many Americans were uninsured as of 2008. Local press all over the nation are reporting on the percent of their own state's population without insurance. The highest is Texas, where 24.9 lack health insurance. Next, New Mexico, at 23 percent without insurance. Then, Florida, with 20.5 percent. These percentages derive from dodgy statistical sampling, but there is no doubt of the general estimates of mass numbers uninsured. In 2007, the uninsured were 45.7 million; in 2008, 46.3 million. Now, unofficial estimates are for 52 million and climbing fast.

On Sept. 11, a new Treasury Department report was released stating that half of all Americans under age 65 will be losing their health insurance—if they have any—for significant periods over the next 10 years. Obama, citing this report, declaimed, "I refuse to allow that future to happen..."

After repeating a few more of his stock points, including implying that he is on your side as against Big Insurance—"What my plan will do is make the insurance you have work better for you"—he ended with the pitch that the time for debate is over...."Now is the time for action. Because every day we wait, more Americans will lose their health care..."
