There will be no walls to the city.....
No Christ will not always have all of the glory, they made graven images of Christ suffering that are embedded in human consciousness.

Basically I think that there is only one correct answer and that is... today. Note that there are two classes of the blessed. Class I Those who are dead in Christ. Class II Those who are alive in Christ.
Now someone who is in Class I was obviously at some time in the past a member of Class II. Non of us can guarantee that we will still be drawing breath at this time tomorrow. So this is not a matter that you can comfortably "put off". As is the common human tendency when faced with a decision. In fact putting it off is in fact a decision in and of it's self. You might be blessed with a little more time, but don't count on it. The risks and consequences of dying in your sins are just to great. All of us are skating on thin ice.

You shouldn't have stopped reading after I Thess 4:18. Chapter 5 lays out the timing very precisely.
1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
The "rapture" is also referred to by the Apostle Paul as the "day of the Lord"
The bible is very precise about when this day will occur.
Isaiah 13:9-10
9Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
The significance?
Jesus describes the exact same celestial events that are synonamous with the day of the Lord!
Matthew 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
THE DAY OF THE LORD AND THE "RAPTURE" EVENT WILL OCCUR IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GREAT TRIBULATION!
Jesus verifies Paul's passage by describing the "rapture" event at that time:
Matthew 24:
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left |

no one knows for sure.. but Jesus said this concerning the Tribulation.. Beloved fear not, for i will be with you, to show you the way to go, even in the Tribulation.. A 766068, I think that you are misreading the verse. If you read those just before and after it makes it clear that it will be on Judgement Day. So many of those bowing before Jesus Christ will not be having a happy time of it.

If I play some small part in the salvation of your soul then I can hope for a reward from the Lord. Alas, if you finish up in hell then there is no reward for me.

What's the difference what "day" a person comes to acknowledge God? Yesterday, this afternoon, or judgment day? Where in scripture does it say there's a cutoff time or deadline, after which confessing Christ as Lord is no longer an act of salvation? Also, are you suggesting that the "lost" are not going to willingly recognize God as Lord? Is the Spirit going to *force* them to mouth allegiance and yet *deny* them the promised reward for doing so? Makes no sense, considering He tells us plainly how offensive it is when people make declarations that their heart really is not into - even we humans find it objectionable. If He can force people into confessing Christ, why doesn't he just do that now before it's supposedly "too late"?
It's touching that you don't want me to end up in hell, but there are scores of christians who hide in their hearts the resentment of the Prodigal's brother, bitter at the idea that his "wicked" sibling is warmly welcomed home by the Father. "I was obedient all this time! Why does he get any attention?"
As in Adam all die, so in Christ shall all live.

Then there is one more verification that is very specific about timing... found in I Corinthians 15 51:52... it's "after the last trump."
Where did all this pre-tribulation rapture become Bible verified? I realize it goes back to ~1820 /1830 when the movement started. But how did it get "legs" without absolute Bible certification like post-tribulation rapture clearly is indicated with no wriggle room for misinterpretation. |

But the Lord is helping me to get ready for it.
