The Moon is 238,855 miles away from Earth The Saturn V carrying Apollo 11 escaped earth's atmosphere at more then 17,000 mph The lie -- NASA says it took 3 days to get to the Moon The math -- 238,855 (/) 17,000 mph = 14 hrs flight The logic -- objects in motion stay in motion, unless acted upon by another force There is no air to offer any resistance in space, the Vehicle would travel at this speed indefinitely and reach the Moon in 14 hrs. The 3 day bullshit was invented by NASA because they still didn't understand how fast the Vehicle needed to go to escape Earth's atmosphere, they later discovered this with the Shuttle. You can send the Shuttle to the Moon today in 14 hrs.  Wrong. The earth's gravity pulls on the craft for most of the trip slowing it all the way until at some point, the moon's gravity equals and exceded the earth's and it again speeds up. At the transition point, Apollo was only going 2000 miles per hour.
