That makes my day to hear this OP. I have spent years and years searching for truth (ever since I turned off my TV...lol). I have found much truth...but always mixed with lies. See the parable of the wheat and the tares.

Every rabbit hole I explored led to the same abyss, some truth, but no reasons. My searching was not in vain, My Heavenly Father revealed himself to me, because of my hunger. Well, let me rephrase that: My Heavenly Father revealed Satan to me first. The reason, I think, is because there is much evidence of Satan. Satan wants us to be enslaved and separated from G-d. He does a great job. But for him to do this, he must maticulously scheme...which leaves a lot of worldly evidence, because his means are worldly.

Our Father, on the other hand, created us to be free. For us to be free, no other action is required...thus leaving little to no evidence, and requiring faith.

I was not raised religious at all. My search for the truth and the grace of G-d, led me to the one and only truth. The Bible.

In fact, I have a theory. The world as we know it, the world controlled by Satan, is meticulously constructed to keep us from G-d. It's there to keep us from the real truth...Yeshua. There are two battles going on...the battle for your flesh...which we all lose to some degree, and the battle for our spirit. Let me tell you, if you live a worldly life of flesh indulgence, you don't stand a chance at fighting the real battle waging 'within.'

The battle that really matters is that one...the spiritual battle within. If your caught up in the fleshly battle...you are losing the spiritual one.

Lets discuss this, Hell is listed 54 times in the King James. Out of these, NOT ONCE does the bible say that hell is at the center of the earth. So the foundation of all
that you believe is based upon something that you have not seen for yourself. Yet we are to believe that which you do not even understand yourself?

So please where do you get that hell is at the center of the earth?

Just remember your belief system is in your head, just as much as anyone elses is. You believe what you imagine, so do Christians, Muslimes and everyone else. The reason you exist is not to teach others your great wisdom. It is to appreciate and enjoy the creation that you find yourself to be in, and to allow others the same.

I do not fear God. God is not meant to be feared. God has instilled the strength to find the truth in myself and expose it to as many people as possible.

No I have not read the bible I had to sighted to me word by word. I never understood the fear aspect behind God. It doesn't make sense. Kind of like how 1+1= 6? There's no logic behind it. God is this all forgiving that we must dedicate our lives to and yet we must fear him? You're mistaken dear friend.

Done nothing eh? You speak of educating myself on certain topics before passing judgment. I had the bible cited to me word for word when i grew up. I know what the general message is and the idea of God existences in the bible but i fear his word and his love is jaded behind the correction of man and evil.

I have done more then my fair share since my awakening on Sept 4.

You have read the bible and the fact that you speak of me as though I am going to hell because I don't fear God stinks of fear mongering.

I need to reiterate my statements here. I confused Christianity with Catholicism.

The reason for this change is i recall an event I had while at a Christian Youth group I went to. I was in the back of the room waiting like everyone else excitedly to go out for a night of floor hockey when i began to burst into tears. I was then surrounded by 10 other people. I don't know what happened that day but I had a connection with God. I felt his calling.

A couple months later I forgot about it. It left my mind until recently... that was 9 years ago or so now...

I've never understood why God would favor Abel over Cain. It does not seem characterist of God to favor one of his sons over another. Bloodshed is not what God needs to be pleased. God wants us to love eachother. God wants us to heal eachother. God wants us to live in peace and thrive.

Why does the story of Cain and Abel depict the first string of jelously. It doesn't take a very intelligent person to see that if two people work toward the same goals and two different offerings are being given to God being this all knowning all forgiving being would accept to gifts from both. Not praise one and not the other. What is the symbolism behind God accepting Abels gift over Cains? Bloodshed led to more bloodshed and jelous in some form... did it not?

This is a flaw that Humans do by showing favoritisum in our sons and daughters but for God to show this as well?

Something doesnt add up here.

It's a lesson of the heart. Able offered to G-d out of a pure heart, because he loved G-d, and he wanted to. Cain's heart was in the wrong place, hence the jealousy and hatred for his brother.

It's pretty simple really. If you heart is dark, your willingness to please G-d is not genuine.
Remember, G-d is Love.

Do you want love out of obligation? I'm guessing not. That's not love, is it?
Why would G-d want any different? We are created in His Image after all.

Cain did not love G-d...so G-d didn't want his offering.

And just my opinion, but you are falling into an age old trap if you think G-d is to blame for our wickedness. He wants us to love Him above all. If we did this, we would automatically treat each other right.

He lays it all out for us, we are just unwilling to live the way we are supposed to.

I don't think that God did that out of wickedness. The point I'm trying to make is that what if it didn't happen at all?

Please don't take this the wrong way i am not an anti-christ i am not satans follower. I am trying to rationalize the stories from the bible as I know them and for me if Cain didn't have God in his heart then I personally believe that God would not have "Rubbed" it in his face persay. That causes nothing more but further disconnection from God and further malice and defeats the purpose of God trying to get people to feel love rather then hate.

The equation is not adding up here in this story.

I mean what is the symbol behind those images? A sacrfic of an animal in the name of God? Does God really need us to take life in order to give life to give love? Cain grew food that came directly from the earth but that wasnt good enough. He must have believed in God enough to give the sacrfice but it wasn't good enough...
